MC is not op, more like the cheat is op. The cheat is literally a talking encyclopedia in the MC's mind.1) Story Development:(i)The story development is good. As usual, like all Chinese novels, villians come from left and right and disappear just as fast. No hate for this though. Any longer and I'd be bored because the cycle is repetitive. The villian looks down on her, calls her trash, finds out she's not trash, goes in denial, tries to sweet talk back into mercy, either gets killed in the end or tortured first. Repeat this cycle and volla, you have 440 chapters.(ii) The ending of every single arc is very, very disappointing. MC builds up with talks to her gradfather about being merciless on them and how she'd torture them but so far, except for the King and Crown Prince being locked up to he Milk Tea's playmate, there's no real torture or if there is, it happened so quickly, my mind completely dismissed all of them being tortured. Take the latest arc that just ended, the Xiao family arc. Yun Xiao declared he'd slaughter the entire clan but it ends with him killing his father, grandfather, 'fiancee' and her father and step mum commiting suicide. Putting aside the Ling family and the step-mum, where's the rest of the clan? No need to go into detail since they're not exactly important, but completely not mentioning even 2 sentences of him rushing in to sweep the entire clan? Huh? Are you going to seriously skip them to the naked game? (Btw the Mc's seduction talk is ****ty. What a turn off)2) Character Development:(i)Character development. Hm... how do I say this... there isn't any? Like at all? The MC only has revenge in mind and while ot was satisfying to see how the enemies suffer, it gets boring. Of course the whole point of this story is her revenge but I'd like to see how she improves her cultivation as well, not some bull**** lile: "MC needs to get stronger, so she hides in the gemeral's estate for half a year and BOOM I'm a fucking talent." Like seriously?(ii) MC is childish. Her actions are, as she claims, on the basis of being 'shameless'. Being shameless is one thing, but acting like a 10 year old in tantrum is another.3) Side Characters(i) The fourth prince, what's-his-name, is as implied, easily forgotten. Why? That's just how irrelevant he was. Other than serving as a witness for a promise during an event, his existence is less significant than the bowl of soup she drank that ML secretly made for her. At least that bowl of soup lead him to talk a little bit of his past. This prince appears and dies so damn easily and quickly, I don't get their point of creating him. He constantly talks about wanting to get rid of the King and Crown Prince but in the end, he cpntributed nothing to that. Eventually he dies when he noticed how much he liked the MC and would die for her. Seriously?(ii) There's this godly doctor they keep mentioning and honestly, so far he sounds pretty useless. His skills are slightly inferior to MC(full credits to the cheat) and that's about it. I hope he doesn't just disappear lile that or it'd be another waste of a character.(iii) Side characters' charateristics are all exactly the same if you exclude their names and their rank in society. Villians- Stupid and in constant denial until you spell the MC's power in front of them. Good people- MC's cheerleaders with power and statues. That's it. Background characters: Goes with the flow. Only knows the phrase: "MC is pretty and talented too bad she's trash"(iv) A special guest, the imperial palace circle. Anyone inside here are walking definitions of weak. The prince has power? Never used it at all. The King rules the entire land? Powerless as **** even before mentioning the sect behind them. (Imperial decree? MC: What's that? Food? No? *tears and kicks out eunuch*. Repeat 5 times for the entire arc. The King cannot offend openly the general, the prime minister, and is completely submissive to the Idk-medicine pavillion and the power sect. Basically everyone significantly high ranking in society. Damn, what's the use of the King for? They're as useless as the one in the modern days and here I remember the Royals were everything in literally every other novels and history)Oh wow in my mind, it sounded like I only had 2 or 3 complaints with a few sentences but it ended up this long anyway.4) Would I recommend it?For fun? Definitely. It's a fun and somewhat satisfying read because revenge is sweet. Picky reader? The serios type? Nope. Highly discouraged. You'll probably want to drop it half way. I'd recommend you read Jun Jiuling on this website or The General's little peasant wife on another website (I think). It's similar, but the characters are more marured, calm, serious and not too overly op with op side characters.
