On the day Fiona was to be engaged, her fiancé disappeared suddenly. In an unforeseen turn of events, she sought solace in unexpected ways, finding herself entangled with her boyfriend's older brother. The following morning, their intimate scene was discovered by both families. The usually composed man, offering a surprisingly straightforward solution, said, "If that's how it is, then marry him!" Marry Damian Desmond? The mere thought terrified her. Throughout her life, he had been her constant source of unease, a figure whose world seemed diametrically opposed to hers. Started off promising with some good premises but the author missed the vibe that a witcher world is supposed to have, it lacks the dread and drama, good side characters but none of them are exceptional, power levels and leveling was a bit lame to me.
The novel would be consided good for most people but for me it missed crucial point and failed to deliver.
Fanfictions in general can be double edged swords if you diverge too much or the opposite this one missed that fine line.
