Ayumi Tanaka, a gentle university student with a hearing impairment, has always found comfort in her quiet world. While others rush through life, Ayumi cherishes small moments — the texture of sunlight through windows, the comfort of familiar routines, and the unspoken bonds with her few close friends.

Her world expands when she meets Kaito Mori, a multilingual exchange student with a natural gift for connecting with people across cultures and languages. Fascinated by her world of silence and subtle expression, Kaito becomes determined to understand Ayumi — not just through words, but through touch, gesture, and heart.

As their friendship blossoms into something deeper, Ayumi and Kaito navigate misunderstandings, personal insecurities, and the challenges of bridging two very different worlds — proving that love doesn’t always need sound to be heard.

The story is slow and boring. There is nothing of interest in the first ~15 chapters. The main character doesn’t have anything heroic about him. The setting is peaceful. Even the descriptions of the world lacks any conflicts to pique my interest. I feel like I’m watching a random guy stroll up a hill rather than a hero climb Everest to slay a dragon.Once the academy arch starts, things get interesting but it’s still a cliche event that you’ll see in several “school-life” type novels. Anyways, this is just another slow-paced cookie-cutter story.

This is a great story. I was really into it from the very first chapter, though i did see some grammar mistakes here and there. The flow is nice and the characters seem good enough. I'll be reading more! Good work

Personally, I feel this novel should rank near the top alongside “National school prince is a girl” and “It’s not easy to be a man after traveling to the future”. It is a very refreshing read among webnovels with female protagonists. It is so hard to find unique and different female lead stories since many follow the same tropes and cliche plot devices. As a gender bender story (where the lead literally switches gender physically every three days) with a good amount of comedy and MC’s strong, rational personality, this novel is a personal favorite (I like stories with unique plot twists like “My dad is the galaxy’s prince charming” or “The Empress’ Livestream”). Strongly recommended.

As of now, he isn't concerned with his food as he has a couple of energy bars inside his bag. It was enough to last him for a week, and even if he runs out of it he can catch some fish in the sea as his food. He could also look for some wild berries and fruits inside the forest.
