"When We Were Perfect" is a poignant and introspective novel that delves into the complexities of family dynamics, identity, and the passage of time. Set against the backdrop of suburban America, the story revolves around the lives of the Harris family, particularly the four siblings who struggle to find their place in a seemingly idyllic world. The title itself hints at an idealized past, where they believed themselves to be unblemished, yet the novel deftly uncovers the imperfections that lie beneath.

Author Mariah Stewart weaves a narrative that explores the challenges of growing up, the weight of expectations, and the delicate balance between love and ambition. Each character is multi-dimensional, with their own secrets, dreams, and regrets, making them relatable and human. As the siblings navigate through adolescence, relationships are tested, and the truth about their parents' past is gradually revealed, revealing the sacrifices made for their perceived perfection.

The novel invites readers to reflect on the choices we make, the consequences that follow, and the importance of self-acceptance. It's not just a tale of family drama but a meditation on the universal human experience of longing for acceptance, forgiveness, and the pursuit of happiness. Ultimately, "When We Were Perfect" is a compelling read that touches the heart, reminding us that even amidst our flaws, we are still capable of finding connection and redemption.

Do give my work a chance, you won't be disappointed. It's different from other stories with the male lead being the victim of destiny's cruel games.
Warning:You are in for an emotional roller coaster filled with drama, struggle for love and change of personalities.
