We Arrived too early

"We Arrived Too Soon" explores the intriguing Fermi Paradox: humanity is alone in the universe because it emerged too early on the cosmic scene. It is this belief that prevails in year 196 of the Space Calendar, when human colonization on Mars is already a reality. In this futuristic world, where technological progress coexists with social challenges, science fiction and personal dramas intertwine.

The story follows Mars-1549, a young Martian orphan who, upon reaching adulthood, leaves the orphanage and begins to discover the world beyond his dome. Accompanied by Moisés, a friend and former orphan, he discovers a planet full of contrasts, from the precariousness of some colonies to the peculiarity of bars that offer exotic and artificial drinks.
During a visit to one of these places, the two receive news that shakes all certainties: X Company announces the discovery of an infrared radiation source that could be from a Dyson Sphere, signaling the possible existence of an advanced civilization, from type II on the Kardashev scale.
