(PAUSED) One night, Faerie remembers that she wants to read a novel that was recommended by one of her students. Unfortunately, she forgets what the title was and decided to read another novel that she accidentally found on an old website. Because of how horrible the ending was, Faerie ended up leaving a review full of insults for the novel that has ended for years. It seems that this website has been dead and maybe she was the last visitor to this website. So she believes that her review won't be read by anyone. And just like that, Faerie left a review full of gag nonsense. "The worst ending in the world. If you, readers, agree with my opinions, gimme a million likes! Maybe there's a miracle for me to be transmigrated into this novel so I can change this shitty ending to becoming the best ending all of the time!" And now Faerie regrets her review that night. Faerie did transmigrate into the shitty novel by its writer who proclaimed to be a God. And her bad luck didn't end there. Faerie now possessed a hidden character's body whose destined to die at the hands of a tyrant. Now, what is Faerie supposed to do to change the shitty storyline into the best ending all of the time, and return to her life on Earth? --- Author's note: Related to chapters 01-13 which explains how the MC was able to enter the novel's world and why she was obliged to sign a contract by the Goddess with the reward: 'her life in her original world'. At the start of the story, I purposefully do not shorten and write in detail. That's because I want readers to feel the MC's mindset shift after meeting and interacting with all of the novel's characters, which was initially just focused on how to accomplish the contract. Although I am aware that you may become bored while reading 01-13, I encourage you to continue reading! Cause I am certain that this novel will not bore you! (Don't worry, this is a long story, and the MC definitely has more to do (ahem) with the Male Lead.) system (check) transmigration (check) werewolf / cursed ML (check) overpower MC (check) historical and fantasy world-building. (check) romance(+) and friendship (check) (a little) adventure and action (check) and a warm family story (check)

Since there are no other reviews, I'd like to share my thoughts on this Manga. If my memory serves me correctly, only the first 50 or so chapters have been translated into English, so you might need to know Japanese to fully enjoy it.

The content of this manga is quite niche. A lot of the humor is based on Japanese pop culture from the early 2000s. I spent a considerable amount of time looking up certain expressions or references just to get the jokes. Luckily, my wife, who is Japanese, knew many of these references and was able to explain the humor to me. This makes the manga a bit challenging for Western readers. That said, once you find your rhythm and start understanding the jokes, the manga becomes genuinely enjoyable. This is probably the only manga I've read that makes me laugh out loud multiple times per chapter. While there are numerous references to Japanese culture, Kumeta Kouji, who also appreciates Western media, includes many references to famous Western movies and actors as well.

This manga is very similar to Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei. Both are gag mangas that are episodic and lack an overarching plot. So if you enjoyed Zetsubo Sensei, it's safe to say you'll like Katte Ni Kazo too. Personally, I preferred this one over Zetsubo Sensei. The main reason is the characters. The fact that there are fewer characters in Katte ni Kaizo allows each character to have ample screen time. The four main characters—Kaizo, Umi, Chitan, and Suzu—are all highly enjoyable. I'll start with my favorite, Umi, who has a fun character arc. She begins as a normal girl trying to stop Kaizo and his antics and eventually evolves into a psychopathic character with multiple personalities. Next, we have Chitan, who starts as a sympathetic underdog being bullied by Kaizo but later transforms into a stalker who gets immense power trips from even the smallest authority. Suzu is the club president who is both beautiful and intelligent, yet she hides a significant secret from everyone. The last character and my least favorite storyline is Kaizo. It's not that it's bad, but rather the direction it took wasn't as entertaining compared to some of the other characters. Kaizo starts as the most insane and eccentric of all the characters. He genuinely believes he is a cyborg and has peculiar connections with people from his previous school who are just as strange as him. However, as the story progresses, many of these creative aspects of him are abandoned, and he ends up becoming the straight-laced character. Don’t get me wrong, I love that the other characters turned out to be crazy too, but I just wish they had retained some of Kaizo’s more interesting personality traits as well.

Katte Ni Kaizo was an excellent manga! This kind of gag manga may not appeal to everyone, but I found it funny and intriguing. The jokes were superbly crafted, and the ending of the manga was truly satisfying. It's unfortunate that this manga wasn't translated, so more people could enjoy it. However, if you can read Japanese, you should definitely give it a try. Overall, it's a 10/10.

For my part, I usually dedicate a minimum of 6 hours a day to reading and on my free days I can extend reading to 14 or 15 hours. I also take advantage of every free moment and read some chapters.

I don't usually skip chapters, I just really enjoy reading and I don't have anything I'd rather do over it.
