Waking up one morning, Lan Ling found herself inexplicably transported into a novel set in the ’70s, where she was nothing more than a minor character in the heroine’s rural village. Her new home was barren, with four walls and not much else, and supplies were desperately scarce.
Fortunately, her phone had come with her. Not only could she send and receive goods through a chat app, but it also had its own built-in storage space. The only contact left in her address book, however, was her best friend and long-suffering confidant.
Lan Ling: “Send some food. I’m starving!”
Yu Feifei: “What’s going on? Didn’t you go on a mountain expedition? Are you stuck?”
Yu Feifei: “[Red Envelope]”
You have received a red envelope from your contact: 20 meat buns, 10 spicy tofu buns…
