Song Shuangzhi transmigrates into a novel as the ex-wife of the male lead, Tan Siyan, a cold and abstinent high-ranking judge who entered an arranged marriage with her but never developed any feelings, as he is destined to meet the true heroine he is meant to love.
In the original story, she is a shallow, clingy ex-wife who eventually divorces him, takes a vast fortune, and leaves to live a carefree life surrounded by male models. Believing she only needs to follow the plot and wait for the heroine’s appearance, Song Shuangzhi accepts this destined outcome.
However, she is suddenly bound to a system that forces her to complete extreme romantic tasks involving Tan Siyan, warning her of fatal consequences if she fails.
Soon after, the heroine appears as expected, and Song Shuangzhi presents the divorce agreement. Instead of remaining indifferent, Tan Siyan reacts out of character, pulling her away from the crowd of male models. He refuses to let her go, breaking his usual restraint and insisting that she stay with him instead of leaving him after their marriage.
