This is an easy-to-translate story that offers a refreshing take on its genre. I particularly enjoyed the positive female supporting characters and the strong bond of friendship they shared. The emperor was a competent and fair ruler, while the female lead (FL) maintained her modern values and had a charming personality. The main couple's relationship as mutually devoted yandere partners was delightful.

Three aspects that stood out for me (mild spoilers ahead):

    1. The redemption of the older sister,通常这类小说中这类角色会被设定为炮灰,但她的人物成长和结局让我印象深刻。

    2. The story featured consensual sex scenes without any non-consensual elements or excessive drama. The FL's statement, "It's not just you wanting me, but I want you too," was a pleasant change.

    3. The inclusion of original backstory details added depth to the narrative.

Overall, Yu Xiang's character leads a carefree life with the support of her adoptive family, making for a fun and quick read.

I've read this passage three times now, and as always, it's an engaging story. I appreciate the MC's character development, which remains consistent throughout the novel. The male lead (ML) is fantastic, and the storytelling flows seamlessly.

Despite some annoying villains who eventually faced their comeuppance, I couldn't help feeling let down after reading the adapted manhwa. Although I understand that adaptations often lose certain details, I was particularly disappointed in how the plot about the MC discovering she wasn't the ML's biological sister was significantly abbreviated, leaving me puzzled.

The visual representation of the ML as a shounen manga character deviated from my mental image of a strong military general with a fit physique, which didn't quite resonate with me. The title "Yandare" hinted at a certain dynamic, but the manhwa seemed to淡化 that aspect, altering the characters' essence. If you're truly interested in the original experience, I'd recommend sticking with the novel.

In my opinion, the book shines brighter, especially with the protagonist's lively and straightforward personality. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

To be frank, I find it difficult to continue reading this. I acknowledge that the setting allows for certain cultural practices from a bygone era, but both the author and I are not part of that time. The constant objectification of a pre-teen or teenage girl, however, is uncomfortable for me. It's one thing if it were a passing detail, but the author repeatedly emphasizes it, focusing on the servant's gazes at her figure and the male lead's fantasies and physical interactions with her as a child. Unfortunately, it's just not something I can stomach.

For me, the narrative had a middling pace. Initially, I skimmed through, but as the story progressed, it picked up and the climax was engaging with a swift tempo.

However, there were aspects that I did not particularly enjoy:

    1. The main character's lack of understanding about gender dynamics was concerning. It seemed like either her emotional intelligence was low or she hadn't matured much since her reincarnation. Once they entered an open relationship, the protagonist's behavior became overly provocative and seductive, which felt inconsistent.

    2. It was odd how a 14-year-old character maintained a clingy and affectionate relationship with a 20-year-old male lead without any rebuke from their grandmother. This inconsistency was puzzling, especially considering the grandmother's eventual realization.

    3. The protagonist adapted quickly to her new life after the reincarnation, which felt unrealistic and rushed.

    4. From the comments, it was surprising to see that a fan-favorite character like Fan Jiao-Jiao was absent, and even the ninth princess received an epilogue, leaving some readers unsatisfied.

In conclusion, while this novel had its moments, it leaned more towards a soap opera-like melodrama with certain plot points that didn't sit well with me.

"I absolutely loved it! Yes, my morals might be a bit questionable, but honestly, it felt great. This story was a breath of fresh air - finally, relatable human characters instead of perfect Mary Sues or Gary Stu types. The female lead (FL) wasn't a pushover; she was intelligent, feisty, and unapologetic - what a delight! The male lead (ML) was loyal and equally clever, forming a perfect pair with no unnecessary misunderstandings and always supporting each other. The so-called 'incestuous' aspect, set in ancient China, was well-handled as both knew from the start that they weren't actually related. Highly recommended! Where can I find more like this? 😊"

This is a Slice of Life story with a subtle romantic element, approximately 80% focused on everyday life and 20% on slow-burning romance. The relationship isn't incestuous, as the two main characters, who have a six-year age gap, aren't biological siblings. The protagonist, a 25-year-old woman, initially finds herself in a 10-year-old's body. I find it amusing when people criticize the story for having an incest theme, knowing it doesn't involve actual siblings. It seems like they're missing the point.

I personally enjoyed the story because I appreciate a female lead who is intelligent, calculating, and manipulative – and I really connected with the female main character (FMC). As for translations, after trying out a fan-made version, I ultimately decided to rely on the manual translation feature in Google Chrome for a more accurate reading experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed this narrative! The main characters, ML (male lead) and FL (female lead), have an adorable dynamic. The plot is engaging without being overly dramatic; it has a subtle balance of lighter moments and deeper emotions. The pacing is well-managed, making for an enjoyable reading experience. The writing is beautiful, and I have a special fondness for both FL and ML's characters. I appreciate the core premise that their connection is undeniable, which adds depth to their relationship. Additionally, the grandmother's bond with ML and FL, as well as the redemption arc of the Shu daughter, are all compelling elements.

The novel FL has been quite frustrating for me. Initially, I found her endearing, but her character's development took a turn for the worse. She transformed from a simple, caring sister to an overly clingy love interest. The moment when she mentioned dreaming about her older brother kissing her and waking up to find herself unconsciously biting her nails was so cringe-inducing that it was hard to stomach. Although I enjoyed the indulgent aspects, my interest in the yandere aspect of the story was severely under-delivered.

Great! The so-called "yandere" character isn't your typical one; he openly dotes on his 'sibling' (fully aware they aren't actually siblings), and displays an openly brutal side. The 'sister' isn't someone who passively waits for pampering; she's fiercely protective of her love and family, a strong woman who requires a loyal partner, as one might laughingly say.

However, a potential weakness in this narrative could be that the villain might come across as slightly dim-witted to emphasize the power dynamic between the main couple. It would have been interesting to explore more depth in the relationship between Princess Nine and the FL's true brother, especially given Princess Nine's cute and ditzy personality, which could have made for a heartwarming tale.

"I finished reading this novel in just three days, wow! It's the first book I've come across where both main characters are completely obsessed with each other, and I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say the male lead is a 'yandere,' but more like extremely possessive and obsessive - they both have those traits, which is quite amusing xD"

The beginning was a bit of a slow start, but let me tell you, this novel has completely hooked me! It's incredibly captivating, with endearing character interactions and just the right amount of conflict – not overwhelming angst, which I appreciate. The female lead is intelligent and quite overpowered in many situations, although not consistently. She does have plot armor, but that doesn't detract from the story's appeal, as long as it serves the narrative well. Overall, this is an enjoyable read.

The tale is charming, with a perfect blend of plot and romance. The subplot about the fake siblings connection is executed well, and it's clear early on that they aren't biologically related. I appreciate how their bond started as a familial one when they were young, evolving into something deeper for the male lead as they matured. Both main characters are well-rounded; the female protagonist is intelligent and unafraid of her wheelchair, demonstrating resilience in pursuing her desired life.

The male lead possesses a compelling backstory with his own struggles, adding depth to his character. Initially, he takes the initiative, but the dynamic shifts once their relationship solidifies, with the female protagonist becoming more proactive, especially in showing affection. It's delightful to see her take the lead in seducing him and seeking physical intimacy, breaking away from the typical reserved or aloof女主角 stereotype.

The grandmother, being a sensible and supportive figure, accepts the protagonist despite not being her biological grandchild, emphasizing the importance of character over blood ties. The eldest sister also matures and reconciles with the protagonist, offering a positive development. However, the mother and her real daughter prove to be a hindrance. Overall, the story is an enjoyable read.
