YOO I LOVED THE MANGA OF THIS, just been looking for something with romance to read, this is perfect.

A heartwarming slice-of-life shojo manga from the early 1990s, which was adapted into an animated series of 26 episodes, as well as a manga sequel and a small spin-off.  
The manga revolves around the stories of preteen girl Yuko and her friends during their middle school years; navigating friendships, school issues, and first loves; balancing joyful and challenging moments. It also features real-life stories by the author as bonus tales.  
The artwork is straightforward yet skillfully executed, with Yabuuchi's drawing style being undeniably adorable and effectively conveying character emotions!  
The writing is excellent and truly immerses you in the experiences that resonate with anyone who lived through those times.  
I genuinely adore this series; after more than 20 years since I first purchased and read it, revisiting it recently has been delightful—it's highly recommended!
