This story start out good with MC bring his cat along and find way to increase their impressions of him, buying his cat's loyalty with food, massage them, playing with them, caring for their need,... But later he just straight out abuse the new cat, using drug and threat and illusion (ability he got) to trap and trick them into his doing. He trap 10 of them in a small place with only some water, dry cat food and a smartphone for months. Now I'm at ch223 and I quit. Can't stand this heartless MC anymore. I was exerted some co-op play between human and cat. Not this slave owner
HONEST REVIEW! Chapter 344The story is good this is a V-Tuber fic with characters taking on similar persona’s as the v-tubers we have now while staying original themselves.PLEASE NOTE: this story does not use IRL v-tubers but making OC’S using them as a reference.The author does really well with flushing out the character’s background and with explaining there reasons for there actions. The mc John is likeable and smart but at the same time shows that he has the qualities of a returnee that being culture shock, that and him wanting to reconnect with his family gives good character development overall.Now the cons of the book. While John is likeable in his attempt to take the normal route instead of using his overpowering abilities he tends to make light of a situation and in turn it comes back to bite him in the a**. The other characters tend to blame a lot if not everything on John to the point where you are not sure if it’s a joke or not anymore.Personally I feel john let’s people off with a smack on the wrist too much making some of the choices he makes annoying. Overall I loved the story even if something’s annoy me I can deal with it. -thank you author
Here's a review on the novel:This cultivation novel is very fantastic, the story's about a cruel, cold, and clever evil mc, who's very talented in multiple directions. It has great character and story development. He starts of weak and pathetic, but he has the seed of potential as a great villain. With his grandfather being his only family, his heart grows cold and wicked, filled with desire for power. His character turning evil and cruel, described as cunning as a fox yet bold like a tiger. He would do anything for power, for himself as long as he can benefit from it, he would be as benevolent as a saint or as wicked as a devil, whichever path would benefit him more. And yes, if you've read reverend insanity, then this novel is heavily inspired from ri, following the same flow of events at the start ( very nostalgic ) but leads of to it's own path later. All I can say is that if you loved Reverend Insanity ( Master of Gu ) then you'll love this aswell. It leans more on the cruel side of a demonic cultivator, who's a hungry ghost for benefits that leads to power. It's very much gore. So for those like me who like evil MCs then Bai Ming would be above your expectations. He treats all cruelly, yet equally fair. A bonus with this novel is it also has no romance or harem (MC only). Overall, I love it a lot, deserves as much love as RI.
