Refreshing story this is the kind of novel i was looking for many characters and the mc is not op and has to train just like others and it is a welcome change from the regular  chinese view of cultivation and breaking through levels.Unique world and many countries and the M looks like he is african i am waiting for the new upadates  ...... First off, Joy Of Life is a novel. It has the pacing, characterization, and plotting of a novel. If you come in expecting the usual face-slapping webnovel trash, you'll be disappointed. No, lie down, grab a cup of tea, and properly savor this. Characterization is where Joy of Life shines. The enemies feel like real people, with their own goals, values, and interests. Hell, some of 'em go on to become friends! As for plotting and action, it's well done. Fight scenes feel tense, the protagonist gets his badass moments, and generally nothing feels too gunky and overdone. If I have one complaint, it's that Joy of Life's protagonist--it's hard to pinpoint what he wants, really. Who is he? What are his goals? The emotional drive of the story, or at least the protagonist's contribution to it, can seem hollow sometimes. In short, this story is a 5/5 by the standards of webnovels, but as a serious novel...it's good, but nowhere near great.

So many petty comments.. The novel of Pierce the heavens synopsis was misleading, I did read it afterwards & it was a really cool novel and I admit voting without reading is very irrational but at least we had a synopsis to base from. But here so many people being petty and personal over a misunderstanding, the bad comments of that novel were all deleted. And it's not like you bunch didn't judge this novel by it's cover, and not all of us will like the same thing whether a novel leaning towards Feminity or masculinity. Apparently Qidian has this much toxic people, grow up. If I encounter this toxicity this much, I will just leave QIDIAN, at that point screw novels.

Please Choose This Novel....i love crime action based novels...this is my third novel since crazy detective and genius detective that is going on in wuxiaworld reading this kind of novel💪

Read it already, it’s not worth it, the concept gets ruined after the first 5 chapters. It moves from focusing on the MC with a system to the family of a dead guy for literally most of the story.

A rare gem. Quite different from most novels on this service. While several of the categories you might throw it into (reincarnation, system, gender-bender) are fairly common, this novel handles them differently. None of these elements feels intrusive. This isn’t a story about someone being given god like powers and going on a conquest, it is about several well developed characters trying to survive a bad situation. Some of the characters may seem irrational or evil at first, but attention to subtleties quickly hints towards deeper realities that are further revealed as the story goes on. With a little effort to try to understand their complexities, each character of the main cast is likeable.Writing quality is excellent, the author shows true talent with words. While there are a couple of typos and awkward choices of words near the start it remains easy to follow and the artful composition easily makes up for it. The later parts approach a level of finish you might find coming out of a traditional publishing house.That leaves only one last point. The only down side of this novel is that it is unfortunately abandoned. I normally avoid abandoned novels, but given the number of chapters I figured it might be completed so I gave it a try anyways. While it doesn’t reach the end, it develops enough to understand where things are going and leave the reader somewhat satisfied. Even in its current state I would recommend it. If the author does every decide to complete or restart the novel again I will eagerly read it.
