Reading Guide: There are quite a few plot holes early on—this is a nonsensical comedy!
Modern-day tomb raider Jiang Yao was being chased by a zombie when she accidentally fell into an abyss. When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in the 1970s—as a beautiful army wife whose husband had been “gone” for three years, living a hard life with her widowed mother-in-law.
Forced by poverty, Jiang Yao returned to her old trade.
But who could’ve guessed—right after climbing out of a tomb, she was caught red-handed.

Everyone: !!!
(The heroine isn’t very educated. Early on, she digs up ancestral tombs at the slightest provocation, robbing the rich to help the poor. Later, under the hero’s relentless brainwashing, she reforms herself!)
Qin Mu (shouting): “I love my country!”
Jiang Yao (numbly): “I love my country!”
Tomb-Raiding System (seriously, after renaming itself the Treasure-Hunting System): “I love my country!”
