Murk Daes, the narrator of the entire story, who had a bad childhood as his father was a drunkard, he was happy in his funeral and demise, he had seen his mother (Misty Daes) was always beaten by his father. His hatred towards his father was not measurable. Consequently, he was an introvert with hate.

However he shifted to California, Berkeley and started a new life. His mother got very busy as a biochemist and unnoticed. He wanted to complete his higher studies and joined football and badminton clubs. That was when he encountered Merry Dawn nicknamed, Rose (by Murk), he got infatuated.

This book is written by the perspectives of Murk whose obsession towards Rose cannot be comprehend. She is spellbinding, magical in many ways for him.
