Wonhyo (uke), an awakened being with an innate supernatural ability, is under a curse: if he fails to complete his class-specific quest, he transforms into an animal upon contact with a ghost.
While working part-time assisting the police, Wonhyo visits a crime scene where “a ghost has killed a person.” There, after brushing against the lingering energy of a vengeful spirit, he inadvertently changes into an animal—an incident witnessed by Cheongmun (seme).
In the midst of this crisis, Wonhyo discovers that contact with Cheongmun cleanses him of the ghostly energy afflicting him. Cheongmun, who is a public officer affiliated with the Special Bureau, seeks to borrow Wonhyo’s unique ability in order to resolve the supernatural cases he confronts.
