Synopsis:
Modern overworked office drone Li Zhihuan dies suddenly from burnout after intense workplace stress—only to wake up inside a period novel as the “troublemaking cannon-fodder” character!
The original host despised her military husband, Qi Weiguo, calling him a boring, wooden man with no romance. She caused daily drama, eventually ruining herself and clearing the path for the reborn “white lotus” female lead.
But when Li Zhihuan opens her eyes, she sees something entirely different: a cold-faced, quiet, broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted husband who hands over his salary, handles chores (allegedly), and even voluntarily sleeps in a separate room—basically a “god-tier husband.”
Her eyes light up: What cannon-fodder script? This is paradise for a lazy bum! Divorce? Not a chance—even a dog wouldn’t leave this setup!
She embraces a mutually beneficial philosophy: “You’re my meal ticket, I’m your dorm supervisor.” And so she happily settles into her role as a laid-back period-era slacker.
When bored, she occasionally teases her overly serious, innocent husband just for fun.
She thinks she’s just lightly flirting—like a dragonfly skimming water—but she has no idea she’s already stirred a storm in the man’s heart.
Until one late night, she’s suddenly pulled into a scorching embrace, pinned against a hot chest by iron-like arms. The man’s breath burns against her ear, his voice hoarse and dangerously low:
“Wanwan… you’ve been sleeping with me for so long. When are you going to give me a title?”
Li Zhihuan: “???”
Wait—weren’t we just innocent roommates sleeping separately?!
The man lets out a soft laugh, then kisses her, deepening it inch by inch:
“Your room… isn’t it just my arms anyway?”
