The concept of a baseball-focused manga isn't particularly original, but it compensates with intriguing characters that you're bound to either adore or detest (the protagonist required some time to get accustomed to). Being a shounen series, it does include a touch of fan-service aimed at male readers.
I found the slapstick, cross-dressing, and absurd humor quite entertaining. However, if you don't enjoy exceedingly random, violent, and chaotic statements or actions (and there's an abundance of them), this manga might not be your cup of tea.
In reality, Mr. Fullswing would likely be far more serious were it not for the main character.
