The Alpha King and his gorgeous weakness

Perfect cohesion to satisfy one's senses, whether through visual delight or as a stimulus for intellectual or introspective needs. Tsutomu once again demonstrates his talent for using art to enrich the narrative.  

Given its brief runtime, it swiftly zeroes in on the key elements it aims to communicate. The apathy towards life, and closely related, the creation of personal worlds that offer comfort.  

All of this is conveyed through two characters whose lives become intertwined by a random event, illustrating that regardless of the trials and monotonous existence life may impose, it can also reveal new directions and a renewed sense of purpose.

First of all, why doesn't this have a mature warning? o_O  

Anyways, it's psychological in an abstract manner. It's peculiar in a "..is that all?" kind of way. And it's dramatic in a profoundly tragic sense.  

I give the story a 9. Not that I would advocate for what this story appears to endorse, but it stands on its own as stories should. I'm impressed by certain techniques used with boldness. Though that might just be my affinity for foreign psychological films and short films showing through.  

The art, 9. Just take a look yourself. Everything seems to possess its own essence. But perhaps I'm overly enthusiastic.  

Characters, 7. It is only two chapters, but the psychological abstraction seems to make up for it. Still, you can't help but wonder if anyone could remain so composed in certain situations.  

Enjoyment, 8. I liked the abstract elements. I appreciated the psychological aspects. I admired the artistry. I didn't enjoy the theme more than I should, but it's commendable for such a daring narrative. When I say "I didn't enjoy it more than I should," I mean it—hence the deduction of 2 points.  

Overall, 8.5. I won't claim it's a must-read, but I can't deny giving credit where it's due. Such a bold story, such a high standard of art—what more could you ask from a manga? And it's only two chapters at that.  

The themes here lead me to recommend it solely to mature audiences. As an indirect audience recommendation, I'd say this is one of the more engaging psychological dramas/tragedies I've encountered.  

Though... 'enjoy' might not be the term most people would use.

Some of you might find the grandma cute, but her attitude is kind of manipulative. She's aware that her grandson might use an unexpected methods to satisfy her request, yet despite her doubts, she is very adamant and only leads into trouble.I know, this might be a typical temper of elders, but please be reminded of what is good, understandable, bad and healthy mindset.
