I was sure she'd hit me from some unexpected direction.  I kept my face down, which changed my range of vision, letting me see further behind me.  Not that I was focusing.  That's the common mistake that half-assed martial artists make.  To focus is to limit your perception.  To anticipate is to limit your responses.  By being ready to respond in all directions to everything, I wasn't going to be blindsided.

This book is of to a solid start with an underdog MC trying to come into his own.  Powers dominate and there's plenty of action right from the start. If you like stories where everyone brings their own unique powers to epic battles, don't miss this one!

This novel is one to keep, because the plot is very structured and prepared. The development of the book isn't all over the place but it's in one conga line, and that helps keep the reader interested.

So, I’m on Chapter 4, and I just have to say that when it comes to writing descriptions and certain scenes, this book is good. However, in terms of storyline and pacing, I find myself a bit confused. Like, did Stark wake up in another world, time, or place? Did he transmigrate in Chapter 1, or was it just a dream before he ended up in the circus? That’s my only concern, but overall, I’m enjoying the mystery of the story, the characters in the circus, and the journey!
