"Did you think healing me would make me love you more?" He scoffed grabbing my hair as he pulled me towards the door. "You're hurting me, Xavier," I cried beating against him weakly. There was not much I could do. "If I ever see you an inch close to me," He threw me against the wall "I'll damn the consequences and kill you,". *** My mate and I were destined to hate each other, only an act of true love or selflessness from the stronger mate could set our destines on the right path but for seven years, I had to put up with my mate's abuse and his supposed love of his life until one day I decided to leave. I left, determined to stay hidden from him forever... but I found out I was pregnant few weeks later.

What can I say about this story that hasn't been said already? For starters, it's not perfect, but it comes close for a shonen fighting series. Ares is, in one word, Epic. I don't usually favor that word due to its modern over-usage, but it's the single best word to describe the action thrills that come from Ares. Most of the characters are fantastic, with special mention going to Mikael and Ares, who stand out among a good cast. All the characters are portrayed realistically, each with their own motives and desires. It does have funny and heartwarming moments to go with the action and drama, so it doesn't take itself too seriously. However, be warned: there are character deaths and many tense moments, so if you're looking for something light-hearted, this might not be for you. There was really only one moment where the characters began holding the idiot ball, or rather, author manipulation. The part in question could only happen with a few out-of-character moments and multiple mistakes in the worst way. It makes you say, "Why didn't they just do it this way!" This keeps Ares from achieving a perfect score. Despite this hiccup, Ares is an amazing series filled with war, fighting, tactics, friendship, comedy, tragedy, and love. Anyone who enjoys action will find something to like about ARES.

    I absolutely adore this series.
For those who have a passion for wars, this is genuinely cool. If you're someone who loves everything JUST about war—the tactics, the bloodshed, and hardly any "non-war" scenes—this is perfect for you. The plot remains unwavering in its original narrative; it's a tale of war and combat from start to finish. It stays on topic, and even if you encounter romance and think, "Ugh. Romance. That's not war," YOU ARE WRONG. Every single event, down to the smallest detail, holds significance.

Although I didn't notice any MAJOR plot twists, the storyline is still solid and adheres to its purpose. Honestly, I was clicking the "surprise me" button when I stumbled upon this gem. I was browsing on mangahere, and at first, I couldn't even recognize what the cover depicted. That mystery piqued my curiosity: "What was on that cover?" I must express my gratitude to the artist for such a distinctive art style. It's truly original and far more recognizable amidst the sea of other art styles.

So, I clicked. And read. And kept on reading. I didn't stop until I had finished all 207 chapters.

It's true that some characters might receive less screen time, but the main ones get their moments to shine. The author does tend to eliminate a lot of characters quickly, but that's simply because there are too many. This is war. Don't expect only ten people to be involved in a war. Therefore, no, you won't uncover every character's deep, dark secrets since they may perish swiftly. Some characters' backstories will be revealed, but only for the main ones. One thing I'm slightly dissatisfied with is that the art sometimes makes many characters look alike. Perhaps it's just me, but occasionally, I get confused about which character is which and what their names are—a downside of having an extensive cast.

However, don't let that deter you! This is an excellent manga (manhwa). No one should judge it without giving it a chance. You can't form an opinion if you haven't read it. So dive in! Revel in the rolling heads and exquisite swordplay!

Wow~ I believe this review contains almost no spoilers~! Enjoy this manga! Looking forward to seeing you join the fandom!

If any manga or manhwa (as I believe it actually is) deserves more attention and recognition, it's Ares. Even from the first chapter, reading in a different style—up to down instead of the usual right to left that I'm accustomed to—felt like a breath of fresh air. The story is compelling and gripping, reminding me a lot of Berserk but with fewer demons and gods. The introduction of overpowered characters was also incredibly awesome, and these main characters are shrouded in mystery, with bits and pieces revealed as the story progresses. I truly loved Michael as a character; discovering halfway through that he is actually a prince of a kingdom was a huge mind-blow. Baroona was also a favorite. All the different factions and armies introduced, each having their own unique characteristics and personalities, added depth to the narrative. I can genuinely say this is a must-read and highly recommended.

This is the first Korean manga I've read, and I absolutely love it. Just one glance at Ares and Michael, and the way the manga is illustrated, and I was instantly hooked.

At first, it was a bit confusing since I was used to reading from right to left. It wasn't until the fourth page that I realized you're supposed to read it normally, not like a traditional Japanese manga.

Anyway, the story revolves around three young kids who become warriors in a brutal war. They may appear innocent, but each has a dark and mysterious past that contributes to the savagery of their nature.

I truly enjoy this manga and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Claymore or Berserk. I have no hesitation in giving it a full score because I love it that much.

Many people say don't judge a book by its cover, well... I did. But after reading the summary, I found it surprisingly interesting. Although the artwork isn't typically my style, the story more than made up for any dissatisfaction with the art. Not only is the story fantastic, but the epic battles and wars depicted are breathtaking. With unexpected twists in the plot, it's impossible not to want to keep reading even more.

If you enjoy war themes and combat, this is the type of manhwa that might appeal to you. Although it deals with a serious subject, the characters and their dynamics prevent it from becoming as bleak as some other manga. However, this does shift as the narrative advances. It's oddly invigorating to encounter a story that occasionally romanticizes war. I must mention that the author excels at creating suspense, which was a primary reason I continued reading.

The main aspect I didn't care for was its reliance on some very predictable tropes later in the story, and certain parts felt unrealistic.
