Please update novel status to completed. This novel is already completed with 73 chapters total.I like checking novel status to make sure if it’s completed before I start reading. So I had to go on NU to check to make sure if it’s completed or not before I actually start reading it.

So desperate for Long Xun to learn that everyone close to him especially thay housekeeper is just using him. I feel so frustrated as a reader when I know the truth but the character takes so loooong to learn about it.

This manga features a concept that I'd love to see revisited: a childhood friend or romantic interest turning into a ruthless villain, leaving the protagonist to grapple with this transformation. The setup is handled fairly well, but unfortunately, it isn't utilized much in terms of plot development. In the end, the plot feels secondary, serving mainly as a foundation for the story. Instead, the manga leans heavily into comedy, with an exaggerated and absurd tone throughout. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the interaction between the ordinary protagonist and the evil empress, and the supporting characters added enough intrigue to keep things interesting, making the narrative enjoyable overall. The humor truly shines, with the manga delivering laughs from start to finish through its ridiculous and bizarre scenarios, strong enough to carry the story on its own. The artwork is also quite impressive.

tl;dr: A wildly funny comedy centered around a unique romantic dynamic.
