Work was a lalaland from then on. Rachel focused on her work, but took frequent five minute breaks to figure out what would happen next. She looked completely focused on her work from an outsiders view, but only those who have gone through this know what is actually going on.
I love how one might think the plot is going to be dark, but once you start reading, you just fall in love with the romance. The world-building, the chemistry between the characters, and the background story are all so beautiful. It’s such a shame I can only give 5 stars because this book is worth every star it could get. ♥️✨

This is a great story! I love it. I'm concerned the author is dropping the book though. Six days since their last update.These characters are wonderful and grow so much and the relationship between Yexun and Xiaoxiao isn't messy, and no love triangles which I hate. Both of them are devoted and she really improved and cherishes the people she should in this life. It's unique how she was actually so connected to Yexun and traveled with him as a ghost until his life ended in their previous life. Everything she learned from him is helping them now.I really hope the author starts updating again soon.

He gets a chance to impact his world and learn about where things went wrong•There's a diverse cast of supporting characters, each with their own dynamics: Elara, a strong military commander with a hidden past and a special connection with Elias; Geras, a figure from Elias’s past who acts like he wants to help but has a hidden agenda; Kikaru, a driven and powerful shard-bearer focused on training; Tid Well, a laid-back shard-bearer who challenges the rules; and Marcus, a tech expert who is always ready with information. and so many more; so everyone will have a chance to have a favorite character•The plot is a fast-paced mix of action, mystery, Adventure with a touch of science fiction. You'll find everything from alien invasions and government secrets to ethical issues surrounding the power of the shards. Expect plenty of twists and turns as the characters navigate a world on the brink of chaos, and many intense combat scenes balanced with character moments.•A unique part of the story is the Ikonas(my favorite part btw) , which are tiny creatures that enhance the powers of the shard-bearers. Each one is different, and the interactions between the characters and their Ikonas add a lot of depth to the story.
