Alex, a man of 24, had always considered himself a simple, unremarkable soul. He was overweight, inexperienced, and had never received any formal training in anything that could be considered extraordinary. His days followed a routine, mundane pattern that was almost too predictable. He woke up every morning to the same alarm and lived a life he didn’t really think about. Today, like all others, seemed as ordinary as the last. Yet, little did he know, this day would mark the beginning of a journey he could never have imagined.
Until, that is, he met her.

She was a strange woman—an artist in New Orleans, one of those mysterious figures that could vanish into the bustling streets without leaving a trace. She wasn’t from the crowds of the city, yet she somehow belonged there. After a long exchange, she ended up gifting Alex a pendent. Alex, skeptical as always, thought nothing of it at first. What could this old trinket possibly mean to someone like him?

But this was just the first step in many he would take towards meeting the Baron Samedi himself. After going through a few hoops, Alex received his official invitation to Haverix in the form of a system.

Haverix. The name echoed in his mind like an impossible fantasy. A floating academy founded by dragons? A place where the greatest warriors, scholars, and mages were trained to face threats beyond mortal comprehension? It was the stuff of legends, and yet, here it was, calling out to him.

Alex didn’t believe in fate. He never had. But the more he read, the more the reality of it all seeped in. He had been chosen.

Thrown into this strange, otherworldly realm, Alex found himself surrounded by people far more capable, intelligent, and powerful than he could ever have imagined. At Haverix, weakness was not tolerated, and Alex was forced to confront everything he thought he knew about himself. Magic, monsters, and brutal trials awaited him at every turn, pushing him to his very limits. The reality of the academy was far harsher than anything he'd ever faced, and for the first time in his life, Alex felt like a true outsider.

If he wanted to carve out a future for himself in this incredible world, Alex would need to rise to the challenge, embrace the unimaginable power that lay dormant within him, and navigate the dangers that could consume him. This wasn’t just another day in his life—it was the beginning of something far greater than he could have ever anticipated. And it was all about to unfold, one trial at a time.

A very good story dragged down by a horrible translation team. The story has been dropped by them quite a few times. Weeks go by with no update. They promised to be more consistent and slowly post updates then drop again. The story was doing really well. Sure not top 10 but at least top 30 at first, then they dropped and it lost the readers. And they dropped again, and again.Worse once the story went premium they completely stopped translating.

like the concept behind this.Gives a fresh feeling to the system/cultivation cliche type of novel and I enjoy following along with th development of the story so far and can't wait for more chapters.

While an intersting concept, but its poorly executed with too many cliches. The world is barely developed, characters and their backgrounds feels rushed and underdeveloped, especially the MC, who arrogant duche that just couldn’t grow too like, even a little bit. Along with that the system feels under utilized and badly explained. And overall the story feels to fast paced and plot driven for my taste.

I won't say this is the best or most original novel here but i will say its one of the best (If not THE best) executed novels on the website with very few weak points, all the scenarios the author sets up are engaging, all the fights are rock solid and thrilling, all the powers are comprehensive, diverse and well thought out. There's 0% fat in this novel, nothing ever feels like "Filler" or unnecesary (Besides maybe the skill descriptions that you can just skip if you already know about it)As for weak points (Author, if you see this, i hope you take these in consideration), there's only 2 of them and they're easily fixed, the characters have little going on besides wanting to be stronger, which is understandable since they're thight on time, but having them do something else besides training and bicker in the background would be nice, playing cards, watch TV (There should be some kind of entretaintment besides VR capsules) or even go to a strip club would add some life to their characters, given them a hobby or something that has nothing to do with getting strong, have them interact with other people and see how they solve their problems without the MC, have a bit more chapters about them and what they think of their situation and what they want to do with their lives, but its not urgent either (And its not like he didn't do any of these, i just think its lacking). The other weak point is that the world, although well thought out so far, also has little going on besides getting stronger/richer, not that there's any problem with that since since these are all broad strokes about the setting and its factions we are just getting to know, so far the framework is solid but it lacks color. All in all i always felt execution always trium** over originality and this is the closest to a 5/5 in execution i saw so far, great stuff, i hope he doesn't drop it.

A solid read, it’ s already finished so you don’t have to worry about updating stability, no grammar mistakes and different from your typical cultivation novels. All Chapters are free to read, so you can definitely give it a try.

Too slow for my taste(dropped)Writing quality and stability of updates are goodStory development is too slow, nothing much happens even after 50 chapters...not much intriguing plot till now, it's all about MC growing up and all background characters are two dimensional. Sometimes character of MC feels a little bland and doesn't have any unique thing that separates him from others(MC is boring, feels two dimensional). After waiting for something to happen which can make me hang on to this story, I am dropping it. Sorry author nothing personal but everything is too slow, I know many say world building is good but I don't see much here. I hope it gets betterIt's not for people who expect a decent or fast paced novels.

I must say this was quite an entertaining read. The story does an amazing job of building up relationships with realistic reasonings behind character actions. The world-building seems to be developing at a steady pace and would make a great setting. Alas, there has not been any update in 2 years and the author has not posted since on any of their novels. If this novel ever begins again I think it has the makings to be one of the best. If you read this author, please, please, continue the novel. It was so good.
