In a world where witches are born female, 18-year-old Rose Amberstone, a white witch, enrolls in Drewville College. Tasked with protecting her kind from human males who steal witch powers, Rose must navigate treacherous alliances between these men and black witches.

When a loved one falls victim to a 'dynami kleftis' (power stealer), Rose breaks the white witches' no-killing rule, unleashing her hybrid nature. Embracing her vampire side, she sacrifices her humanity.

Rose's transformation draws the attention of Draven, the King of Darkness, who seeks to claim her as his queen. As Rose walks the fine line between light and darkness, she must confront the shadows within herself and decide: will she reign alongside Draven or forge her own path?
