avoid at all costs. this novel feels like 2 completely different novels. where one chapter doesn't flow to the next chapter. characters own history and experiences literally change within a scope of 1 chapter. besides the usual poor quality if being able to keep the proper gender pronouns, the novel literally feels like a 100% new novel at chapter 200. that's because the characters experiences which we knew of have all changed, their personality changed and everything else has changed. very poor job on the tler team part of ordering the chapters correctly. not worth the coins and time invested.
This a book with a cautious, low-profile MC. It kinda reminds me of A Record of a Mortalโs Journey to Immortality but it doesn't waste readers' time with pointless battle descriptions. All the battle scenes here are well written and they make sense. I love that the MC is a mortal! His cultivation is much more interesting this way!
There must be around a thousand light novels of this kind by now. This is just the usual cliche story of genius becomes trash due to his qi being consumed by a grandpa in a ring. If you have read coiling dragon then don't waste your time with this.
