Being sucked into a fantasy world that nobody leaves doesn't sound half bad to Cain. He was a high school dropout with a drinking problem, living off disability due to his poor health, so it's not like he had much to lose except a few faithful friends he didn't talk to enough.

After a long night of drinking, Cain wakes up looking at what he believes to be the character creation screen of one of his beloved virtual reality games, but with no recollection of having purchased it. His unwitting choice to use the Random Character Creation option, unaware that the choice would be irreversible, sends him into this new world as a Puppet Master, a Summoning based class nobody else in the starting zone has ever heard of.

But as he soon realizes, this is no game, him and hundreds of others have been brought to another world with no instructions, no clear goals and no way home. It's a second chance to live a good life, but what will Cain be able to make of it?

    The tags and the title of the novel are completely wrong. They've attracted the wrong group of readers and set the wrong expectations, which leads to disappointment when you actually read it.

    At first glance, you'd expect this novel to be an action-adventure where you follow the main character's journey towards his goal and watch him overcome obstacles. But this novel doesn't offer any of that.

    Instead, this novel is purely a slice-of-life story where each chapter is all about the everyday lives of a group of people. Sure, there's some fighting and adventure, but that's only a side thing and never the main focus.
    .
    It's like starting to read Game of Thrones, expecting sword fights, wars, and dragons to be the main focus, but ending up disappointed because it's all about dialogue and politics.

    If you like slice-of-life stories, you might find this novel enjoyable.

    Its all just grinding for no reason. No story, no world building... And story moves way to fast.

    So is it completed or not? The last chapter kinda reads like an ending and there haven’t been any updates recently but it says ongoing here at the top. I very much hope it’s not, I feel like that would be very detrimental as there’s still much to do for Cain

    This is a great story with an easy to read and relaxing flow. Great content!

    No massive lore dumps, which lead to the novel flowing better and allowing readers to try and understand the world from how characters act.

    Well, I would have loved to give the novel at least 4* stars. BUT: The authors just tells the story, without any explanations and hints. Everything is just a fact. No real stats or skill descriptions.
    The world feels boring and you just get pushed from one scene to the next without reason. Much is repeated all the time. And everything without any explanations.

    It’s a good relaxing read .

    It’s not some high quality adventure story with twist and turns, but a straight OP MC sight seeing your while farming enemies . Its very relaxing and good change of pace . Romance a little bit forced in 2 sentences and. It happening for more then that.

    Still I enjoy it . Good change .
