I read this story because someone said it's like Chrysalis. while the initial premise of this was true the more u read this story u realize that gem cant is compared to this coal. The initial plot was an interesting one but as it progressed, it became a brain drain. First, till about chapter 60 sum, Mc mentions his goal ....and my gosh it was sum bs. The system while helpful its like a cruth to the Mc while he somewhat figures stuff out. the system makes a lot of his growth irrelevant which to sum is nice but to me is boring. In Chrysalis most of his stuff was learned everything he knows or did was trial and error or he had to earn it. Simple communication with his own family was something he had to earn. but here mc is given that skill. there is no trial and error with him. it is just growth with the guidance of the system(boring after a while). His intelligence is quite questionable not totally dumb but not the brights bulb in the barn. This story is quite nice if u turn your brain off. Come here expecting anything more and you are in for a disappointment. All in it was just ok for me.

This story is very well written, and overall and in interesting read that I think you should give a try. And if you've already read the description this won't be a spoiler. But I would have to say the best way to describe the story or at least how he evolves is like a chimera ant. And if you've watched Hunter x Hunter which you really should you know what that is. But overall it's a really good read and I do recommend. o((*^▽^*))o

Well written, it has an interesting system based on biomass, almost like chrysalis but not exactly. I recomend this to anyone who has enjoyed the chysalis novel and wants something new and not the same evolution system as the humdreds on the web.

The writing quality was not the most outstanding but still a 4 and a half star, it comes with the newer stories and should get better overtime. The best thing about the text was that it was able to draw me in with its descriptions and describe to me the exact scene.

The updating schedual is also something that comes with newer novels, but if this novel picks up traction the author might make the novel a scedual. Please dont drop it.

The story development was at times a little dull, like how the was almost no action with the parents of the mc, or the fast developement that skipped some parts of the story. Overall, another 4 and a half.

    Continued in the commets.

I personally like monster evolution stories and this looks like a book people who read fantasy will enjoy. Overall a good book with average writing quality, consistent updates and an mc who has an actual personality and does not just go around mindlessly becoming stronger.

    allert, contain mb spoilers.
first of all, i want to thank author. this story is good and i usualy dont writte review, and if so its negative, this is one of my few revies with positive regards.

    1. original, well its cliche as reincarnation or transmigration stories, but there is where cliche end. as in what mathew reincarnated, his behaviour is definitely not a cliche.
    2. MC itself isnt overly OP with inteligence but you definitely cant get opinion he behave in stupid way, he use logic, and usualy decision he make is for himself but with high enough morality. Also his character isndeveloping, at start he was ok being alone, but as time goes it can be seen in imaginable way (its not clearly written by author - which is ok as you got the feeling) he enjoy living in company of kobolts, but still his his priority isnhimself which is natural so not over the line thinking you touch what i hold dear and he by plot armor destroy his enemies, thats not in there = appreciated)

Next world itself is still in mystery as we are still in forest, but i gues it will all be ok, as for now nothing ridiculous, so by standart this story is written i bet it will be above avarage.

Writtings, author do good job in describing thing enough, and reader also dont have feeling that author use words or describing things as for idiots and believe readers have some logic to imagine details, so its not overly wasting words. and its written enough qaulity for you not miss much only for once i didnt got if he after evolution has tail still or not but in later chapters his tail was still there (there suggestion for author, tail can be used for a lot of things and for holding in ssame ay as he use tongue, i always imagined he some day fell asleap as his tail hold some branch with head down well :D) so dont forget evolvy hia tail :D, well thats just suggestion, i await where you bring us along mathew in his jurney :))

only thing my review dont end in 5 start ratings is this:
upload chapters, i couldnt give full as i just catch up to latest chapters so i ccant ive opinion how much annoy me for waiting for chapters or if its good updating.
Story development i gave only 4, but its should be 5 but i cant give max as its still early only 100+ chapters and we are still in forest.
ps.: whats ffore big good point is there isnt some female cliche (and as he is chameleon looking as kobolt its not dangerous there will be one, so not some guy who is followed some women who mysteriously keep getting stronger without some plots armors, so good to read story like that.

i read novels for like 20  years now, and this one is potentionaly for me in top 10, its too early for that decision ffor e but still my word is, thank you author for the sstory  rlly enjoy it.

This is a typical mc is reincarnated as a monster novel and the mc is the same naive, immature and one dimensional character that survives merely out of luck; normally. this wouldnt be that hard of a turn off but with the grammar being mediocre and the way we are reminded of his intelligence while he acts with the wisdom and problem solving of a kid starts to grate my nerves.
