Jin, a hardcore gamer who still lives with his mom at the age of 24. He could never hold down a steady job since graduating, his girlfriend since high school dumped him for his best friend and he's constantly getting beat up by a group of local gang members. RML was advertised as the worlds first fully immersive VRMMORPG, allowing for players with skill sets in the real world, like sword training, martial arts, archery or reaction time, to benefit in the game itself! Though Jin died and at that moment a soul from another world crossed over into his body and inherited his memories. The man known as Izroth once hailed as the greatest cultivator in the seven realms, soul reincarnates into the modern world year 20xx in the body of Jin.

    The story is amazingly repetitive to the point it feels like the aim is to fill the word count.

    The MC keeps saying how insulted he is and mad he is at the way people are treating him, but instead of dealing with it in the most direct way, as an amazingly OP cultivator who has lived thousands of years would, he decides to play weak every time.

    Its full of cliche's to the point that it doesn't feel like an original novel, more like a merge of two or three popular ones, you don't really need to read it to know the storyline.

    Hello! Just thought I'd give a quick introduction of myself. I'm DaoistZenFeng, this is the very first novel I've written and I'm hoping to learn a lot on this long journey I feel I have ahead. This story is about reincarnation, though with a bit of a twist. Usually it's some modern person reincarnating into the fantasy world, but this time its a cultivator who reached the apex reincarnating into a modern world to well... Play a VRMMORPG video game! Hahaha, so join me on this crazy adventure as Izroth adapts to the modern world and becomes the best gamer in the world!

    P.S. I plan on starting off with 1-2 chapters a day but my current goal is to eventually try to do at least 7-14 chapters a week total for now.

    This is the first time I have ever did a review for novel. In my opinion this novel is really refreshing. It doesn’t have those side characters where you bump into them and they automatically want to kill you and your whole family. There is really isn’t any plot armor where the main character finds some stupidly overpowered item at the start of the game. Unlike most other main characters that get transported from another world he actually uses his knowledge from his old world.

    He is not afraid of others and doesn’t hide his powers like every other main character from almost any novel. Too top it all off, he is never afraid of a challenge.

    Now there are a few cliche moments made by the side characters but, it’s never a constantly reacuring thing in the novel. The author keeps improving the unrealistic moments in the novel and does so at a very rapid pace.

    Plus the author is willing to listen to the readers and improve on his work so the story only gets better as time goes by.

    I recommend reading the novel up too chapter 30 before deciding whether to drop it or not. I am pretty sure that once you read it too there you will be hooked.

    I have also noticed a lot of the other reviews about this novel and have got to say that you can tell they have not read a whole lot of the novel. So take it from someone that has read the novel up to the latest chapter and, has read way too many other novels, make sure that the people you listen too has at the very least read half of it. After all that’s what the reviews are for. So that the people that have read most of it can give their opinions on the novel so that new people can develope a basic idea on what the novel is going to be like.

    I was hipped for this novel with in the first three chapters. Until the author made the MC retarded. Why do so many authors like giving the MC an OP background just to nerf him by making him retarded? The most fun i had with this novel is when he is not actually playing the game. When he is out in the real world kicking some ass. I wish i liked it when he was actually playing the game but his over explanation of things makes me not enjoy it.

    So far the Mc has been playing the game for two days and it seems that about 3 days have past in RL since he has started playing. Since after logging of the first time it took him over 24 hours to log back in to play for the second time. When he went back to play it was at chapter 57. It took a total of 117 chapters for him to log out of the game for the second time. The author says that the games time is 10-1 RL time(10 hours in game =1 hour real time). So if the story keeps going at this pace. And lets say the MC will play the game for 1 year then it is safe to say that this novel will be about 21,054ch long. Since three days have passed in the story and those three days is 174 chapters long. There are 121+ 3's in a year. So divide 365(years)/3(days) you get 121.66666repeating. So 121(days)x174(chapters)=21,054. remember that the 121 is a full year in the story. So **** that I'm out!

    An OP MC that occasionally misses some swing and occasionally doesn’t notice someone spying on him even though he has thousand perhaps millions or billions years of experience. Who knows how long the strongest cultivator can live. He also has a mother complex, although not seeing the other as a potential wife, like most MC’s that don’t have an irreconcilable feud with their family.

    the story was good at first, but the MC don't act like a thousand years old person. i mean you are in a different universe what is the first thing you will do? obviously find more information, but go in a game he know nothing about not even the Basics. someone with thousands years of experience should know how important information is. human are in top of world because of their intelligence and that how they made cultivation possible in this part of the story, should not he know at least that?

    Realm of Myths and Legends is a novel of missed opportunities.

    It implies a unique perspective of a cultivator of 1000+ years being introduced to a VRMMO. Unfortunately, the mentality of the protagonist devolves into that of the archetypical VRMMO playing MC slowly learning mechanics and gathering epic loot and dealing with the usual virtual bullies present in many VRMMO novels. His 1000 years of cultivation are only accounted for by his ability to determine whether or not people are trying to plot against him, deceive him, or use him.

    Even then, there is a case where the MC allows one such "evil" individual to partake in an "S-class" quest, despite not sharing the quest with that person (which seems completely unaffected by the fact, and can follow the MC and his group without restriction anyway).

    Aside from this, the only other thing his 1000 years of cultivation afford him is his ability to recreate his various cultivation and combat techniques within the game. Overall, what had appeared to be a new, interesting spin on a old idea turned out to be a big disappointment.
