Reality of black and white: Fushinakai

I have read till chapter 31 before losing interest.The grammar is somewhat ok, but the writing style is weird.The plot itself was nice until Fubuki appeared to be also a transmigrator.So overall I will give this fanfic 3 stars and recommend to others to give this a try as it might suit you.

The plot is really bad, but it is a really good read.Update: Raws, 255 I originally thought that this novel was a decent read. Then it got repetitive. New cookie cutter girl swoons, ofc Ling ran ignores. Repeat. Nothing new.My breaking point is Yu Yuan. How do you get such a dumb character in the novel??? They try to interject awkwardly into situations and she is brain dead in her interactions. The breaking point of that breaking point is Ling Ran and his patriotism.There is no "China is number one" kind of oneupsmanship in medicine. We are all working to a common goal, regardless of nationality. It is extremely obvious, and it feels like colonialism 2.0, at least the way that the author describes it. Ling Ran sticks with the same hospital, even though HE KNOWS HE IS LIMITED BY THE NUMBER OF BEDS. So leave for gods sake. Mayo clinic, Shanghai foot, a lot of good places would accept him.Why does he want to be a 'world class doctor', when he stays in the chinese equivalent of the backwaters of Alabama? Tian Hao too. She is a 3rd gen rich girl who just wants to win over Ling Ran. Except she has negative brain cells. B_tch please. I am trying to enjoy the novel and all you can do is interject and add random bullcr*p. I don't care if you drive a Rolls Royce today, and a Bentley tomorrow.The only good part was Meng Leyao. Jeez, a woman who is more normal than the rest, who doesn't immediately get wet after seeing Ling Ran, except she disappears for 100 chapters. The ticket system encourages high word count, which comes at the expense of quality.Thank you for listening to my ted talk. /Rant

Well, the story is undeserving of the rank 4. The translation quality is good and the stability of updates is pretty good as well but anything other than that is not good. The plot is monotonous basically what happens is Mc signs in gets heaven defying skills, instantly comprehends them also gets items to improve cultivation and an enemy comes out of nowhere to force the mc to appear and remind people that he exists. Literally nothing else happens. The characters are are nothing extraordinary. Only the cat is somewhat interesting and everyone else is just typical Xianxia template. The world building well is there even any world building here.

It’s not the same as soul land. Similar yes.While it does have a soul ring cultivation system,the number of rings are fixed at birth and the first will have the innate skill of the spirit.While the synopsis makes the mc sound op his not really.His system at most grants him the ability to fuse his rings with other rings which are recieved from beasts, be it dead or alive.Ge still needs to fight against the lingering spirit in the ring like in soul land and has other restrictions that makes it totally balanced.There’s also no need to have to take the final strike to get the ring.So far no age to colour correlation when it comes to the rings.Plus while there is body cultivation it’s not like soul land where tang San has the ultimate inheritance of his sect,but rather a basic method that everyone has access to.In addition,there isn’t anything like spirit hall so far or any large powers yet.Only groups like sect which are like cultivation schools and smaller clans sharing power in towns.World development is slowly developing but not too much yet.More of like a parts of a region and the town?/city? Where the mc lives in.Mc is like a stereotypical hidden protagonist but slightly more able to use his wit but ocassionally plot wise Low EQ.Not much more can be said yet since the development ain’t clear yet by 40 chapters.

Great characters, they feel almost alive as I read and imagine them all interacting with each other. It is a great standalone story, and I believe as a fan of the author's Quillverse series that it will only get better as the story progresses.
