Well, I must admit, this novel isn't terrible. It serves as a decent time filler, which is what I'm doing now. Yet, I can't help shedding a tear or two. I want to assure everyone reading, though, the story isn't overly tragic.
Regarding the characters, the male lead may be aloof, insensitive, and domineering, but compared to those who physically abuse the female lead, he's not that bad.
The female lead, while she can be frustrating at times, is far more relatable than the overly powerful, unrealistic heroines in other stories.
That's all I have to share. I feel somewhat wronged for crying, but for now, it's the only one that doesn't seem too unbearable. After each arc, I question if my tears are worth the emotional strain. Sigh... farewell for now.👋 sigh...
Sure, there may be some instances where logic takes a backseat, but personally, it doesn't detract from my enjoyment. Currently, I'm reading the machine translation, and the story is fantastic! It's a rollercoaster of emotions - there are heart-wrenching moments that will surely bring out the tissues, and a few arcs might feel stretched, allowing for some selective skipping. However, I believe every arc has its value.
What truly stands out is the compelling storyline, even if the pacing is somewhat slow. The character development is commendable, and I still find myself invested in the story arc by arc. And here's a surprise: the main character displays a range of emotions, adding depth to their journey.
Overall, it's a wonderful read, with both highs and lows that keep me hooked.
I can empathize with those who rate it lower due to similarities in subsequent storylines, but these serve as essential groundwork for the relationships that develop later on. Accusations of lack of character growth are unfounded, as the protagonist's complexity unfolds throughout the narrative.
As you delve into the story, you'll undoubtedly become emotionally invested, particularly during the reality arc. A helpful strategy could be to skip unappealing arcs and jump straight to the reality section to grasp the general plot without getting too overwhelmed.
The only minor concern I have is the length of some chapters, particularly towards the end, where certain arcs stretch out. However, the extended emotional journey makes the experience worthwhile, amplifying the heartache by the climax.
If you prefer to focus on the emotional core and bypass the entire book, arcs three, seven, and ten offer the saddest endings, which might hit you the hardest.
While the protagonist does exhibit some character growth, his arc is so extravagant and unrealistic that, if the author doesn't reevaluate his progression, by the climax of the primary plot, the character would border on being the most exaggerated antagonist in the entire narrative.
