Surrounding the stars was vast darkness and silence.
Innumerable stars were weaved together to form a linkage of sanctuaries. Countless intergalactic species traversed across stars for exploration, development, and reproduction. All of them fought against the vast darkness.
A small nameless race might bloom and become in power in the timespan of a few hundred years. Similarly, a big powerful race might disappear without a trace in an instant.
Everyone was devoted to cultivation and inheritance. Many Proud Sons of Heavens contended to be the best, and heroes could be found everywhere. The Human Race began as a prosperous clan, but they were slowly dying now.
Wang Yu began his cultivation in Island Town 732 of Broken Star No.5.
Many years later, the Human Race could be found in every corner of the galaxy.
All Proud Sons admired the one and only Divine Emperor of the Human Race.
Someone asked, “Divine Emperor Wang Yu, how should I cultivate so that I can follow in your footsteps?”
The Divine Emperor looked a little puzzled as he turned around and replied, “Isn’t cultivation just repetition? After the proficiency bar of a technique is fully charged, then you will automatically master the technique. Since all of you have better talents and comprehending skills than me, I believe you are already well aware of what I have just said.”
The Proud Sons of the Human Race remained silent as they stared at the leaving silhouette of the Divine Emperor.
Finally, someone murmured, “What the heck is a proficiency bar?”

Surprisingly good. Translation style is slightly simple, but I don't mind it. The story follows our protagonist as he begins to learn martial arts, but with a slight catch: every successful practice session improves his proficiency. In other words, as long as he spends enough time, he can perfect any martial he practices. In theory at least. Pretty good so far, very down to earth, and the system is fairly minimal. Best novel in the current batch for sure.

Based on the first 40 chapters, I approve of this novel. At times I am not too sure though, it's still too early to say how it pans out. But MC behavior/personality suits my tastes, things are not overly complicated, the simplicity isn't boring or repetitive. I'll maybe check MTL and see how it goes later on.

After chapter 136. Well, the pace accelerated and is too fast in my opinion, no side arcs and almost no breath in-between (there is but it's skipped in one line and then comes next action). Story is simple so far, somewhat gets repetitive as MC does same routine every cultivation realm (gathering techniques of same realm, upgrading on steroids, then finding his path closed and finding a new one where he will be first given a technique of higher realm).MC finds higher cultivation realms powerful, but once he reaches them, he's like ,,that's it? this is nowhere enough". He can merge techniques like in Way of the Devil. The background sounds similar to some sorcerer novels.. was it A Sorcerer's Journey, where they teleported their whole world to some distant place or another one? Or was it maybe Legendary Mechanic (as well)? Don't remember.
Also MTL translated one of the empires as "speaking english".. only once though, sigh.

Is this novel good? I think it's above average, but there doesn't seem to be much depth contrary of what I'd expect of a sci-fi novel such as this one. It's readable, MC isn't an idiot. But there are some plot holes, the pace is rushed.

The story is not too fast or slow! It built a decent foundation to further the story! I wish some depth was given to characters. But on the pace so far, it is premature. So hopefully this gets picked up and the world buil can expand, with character development following behind!
