The novel is exceptional; despite the intense personalities of the main characters, their relationship stands out as surprisingly healthy. The child protagonist is charming, and the supporting characters are endearing. The storyline is straightforward with no clear antagonists. However, I must caution that there's a particularly graphic and shocking scene at the transition between chapters 89 and 90; it might be disturbing to read during mealtime.

The narrative centers around an intense and all-consuming love between the two characters, transcending their different species. As the story progresses, the main character (ML) gradually uncovers the truth about the monster-like MC but accepts him wholeheartedly without a second thought. It's amusing how MC struggles to keep his secret, only to have ML assist him in hiding it, knowing full well. Personally, I find this intriguing, as it reminds me of another genre I've enjoyed, like "Mother of Insects." Although it might not appeal to everyone, the writing, pacing, character development, and plot are exceptional and engaging. It's definitely worth the time to delve into this story.
