Some say he is the bad apple in a basket, that he's rotting everything around him with disgrace and corruption.
Some say he is the biggest scum of the southern continent of Jambu, that he's colluding with the dark sects to cheat, steal, and commit all manner of atrocities.
Some say he is the most wanted playboy. "Lock your daughters at home to keep Fang Xing away!"
To all of those people, "That's right, I am that big rotten apple. Any problem with that?"

Those 2 of 3 stars translation quality only goes to the editor since the grammar actually better than most novels on this site. As for "translator", seriously? You don't even translate Sanshu directly for readability? English readablity? Do you mean it's weird in Chinese? Because it's actually more confusing in english if you left it like that. So if there are actually 9 uncles you want us to remember Dashu, Ershu, Sanshu, Sishu and so on. And then Bobo, Dabo, Erbo, Sanbo, Sishu and so on. I'm fine with something like Xiantian, Houtian, Jianghu left as pinyin, but for something translate able like mere title is just confusing.

Is this your way of "spreading culture"? By ****** it hard for new readers to follow the story and mistook title as character's name? Imagine what would happened if Three Kingdoms translated like this, keeping up with 2 names already hard enough for new readers.

Do you want to say chinese culture is only about the language? If you want to ask us to remember all those pinyins to understand your culture then why don't you say to our face "learn mandarin and read this yourself".

Honestly, reading all the reviews I wasn't really expecting much.. But I was really surprised at how the translation does not really affect the story as much as I was led to believe. Most of them are basic and you can understand based on the words around it... Also Mc is very different compared to every other protagonist that I have read and is a genuine anti-hero.

(It's a continuation of Previous comment which I can't edit so...) 资质 means aptitude.  The translator translate it to "zi'zhi" which I don't know even know if it's a word or not. See? The translator didn't did his homework. I find it disappointing to see such a good story being getting ruined. Please don't ruin such a good story.

Recently chapters 1-25 have been retranslated so many of the previous complaints in reviews have been addressed.  The novel has also returned to 5ch/wk.  Having gotten that out of the way:

This is a fun novel to read,  it's full of interesting characters and the MC is memorable.   It's very reminiscent of Chen Dong novels, with beast companions, anti-hero MCs, along with bits of humor sprinkled throughout the story.

The translation & editing are very good. Leaps & bounds above most other QI novels. The TL team's retranslation of earlier chapters should be commended. They may not be the fastest,  but their dedication to this novel is great!

Definitely a hidden gem on webnovel.com that should get more attention!

This is one of my favorite novels on this site. The MC is not some boring rock like Linley (bring it on CD fans), but always manages to entertain with his shameless and rogue-like personality. A non-hypocritical anti-hero MC is quite unique in this genre.

This novel is fast, easy-to-digest entertainment that is a step above others of its kind. The only downside is that release speed is below average and lots of pinyin is mixed into the translation that might put off some readers.

A great novel with a bandit MC and guess what I got Bandit in CR while reading this.
And some fillers to make this review published.

Seriously translator? Are you that lazy? Shixiong, shidi, shijie, laoda and etc? We do not need the pinyin of these things. It causes the readers to put in unnecessary effort just to read this book. It's even worse for readers who are new to pinyin. How fucking lazy can you get? Won't give you a five star rating until you update all of them from chapter 1 onwards.

师兄, 师姐, etc are such easy terms to translate and important but yet they are used as pinyin. Every translator uses the English equivalent.  I don't understand the logic of using pinyin.  Also, many sects/locations names need to be translated in order to convey the meaning to English readers but sadly they have been kept in pinyin. It results in loosing some of the story which author wants to convey.

Well, the story is good and I love the protagonist. I have read till Ch240 in raws and it's one of my favorite.

I hope the translator would notice this and change certain terms for the benefit of readers.
