TL;DR book completely and flawedly without effort plagiarized [Death Inquisitor] by [Second Brother]Honestly I read a couple of chapterd and found it oddly familiar, beside for example the way character spoke like “i beg the judge to give them death” or other example like the livestreamer supposedly in New York makes a livestream that reached 40 millions people. Instead of just shortening the original chinese chapters they should have just translated it fully and give it the right novel and author name. just changing stuff there and there but leaving obvious flaws like the use of RMB instead of USD as well. All in all it’s a complete plagiarized book giving neither the original book nor author the fame it deserves.

FYI: This novel's original translator is YamirMoon from Reincarnation Palace, where they release 5-8 chapters a week (I think, at least that's what their schedule says). If you'd like to support the translator, please do check out their website. The original novel is a Chinese novel published on Qidian called 万界之从巨蟒开始 (lit. Ten Thousand Worlds Start From Giant Python), by 香蕉气吁吁 (Banana Panting)As of the writing of this review (1/11/2021), there are 446 translated chapters on the translator's website, and the original novel on Qidian has concluded at 649 chapters. In the words of the Chinese author: This book will have no shape-changing, no evolving into dragons or flood dragons, only evolving into mythical snakes, no harem, no eating humans, and will flow like a slice-of-life. (本书不化形,不化龙也不化蛟,只会变化成神话中的蛇,不开后宫,不吃人,走的是轻松日常流)OK, actual review:The novel itself starts with the MC being reincarnated as a humble little snake in an alternate world very similar to earth called the Blue Planet (only changes seem to be some country names and the habitats of some animals at first.) As MC grows larger and stronger, becoming an actual mythological snake, the world goes through progressively more sci-fi developments, evolving into a full-on kaiju novel at around chapter 200, which eventually develops into wormholes and interstellar, etc.MC doesn't have many character interactions, but the author recycles characters in a fun way, so you'll see some characters again after tens to hundreds of chapters. Like the Chinese author said, it's a pretty light read without many heavy elements. Slightly repetitive, since MC just grows in power hoping to reach his goal, but you'll see fun things on the way. It's good binge material, especially since it's so long.

disappointing, mc is an alpha turned into beta, being slowly manipulated by the girl ruins it.and how the author os constantly trying to push an agenda later on is also disappointing, mc barely gets time too.really an author shouldn't heavily endorse their ideals into a story and should make it more 'neutral'. also what is the point of having this story being so heavily into the lgbt community  when as far as I know the mc aint a part of it

it's not hard to find overlord on the internet, why don't you try writing fanfiction? I am a hardcore fan of overlord, and I look forward to reading your original work.

The story was ok, writing quality though there are mistakes it doesn't cause any confusion while reading.  My issues are the inconsistencies, the MC says X but then does Y cause it adds more drama, or in one quick arc he destroys three 3* mages like they are paper, and then just a couple chapters later he struggles against one 3* and a 2* mage (because these 2 were the end of the arc boss supposedly he had to struggle).  I am a few behind of current, but the story has turned into rabbit hole of side stories, and with the pacing side stories seem to never end (20 chapters for a single auction that is part of a side story that off loads one of the women for awhile).  One of my other issues is how fights go, as others have said MC always struggles till he has one move left then pulls it out.  However the fights are all Throw attack A see what happens, throw attack B, let enemy regroup, dodge or take a hit, then throw attack C.   None of the fights exhibit any coordination with his team, or ability chain attacks.  It is always Someone doing one ability everyone stands and waits to see if it works before doing anything else.  As a team they have so many combinations they could use, but none of them are used.  Author is hinting about a Tournament Arc that MC is gung ho about, but still keeps saying he wants to stay low key...  All in all the story for me just lost it's hook for  me to continue and it started at the Sect Arc and has just eroded.
