Since the opening of the Dungeon Rifts, also known as D.Rifts or Drift Dimensions, the world has undergone a dramatic transformation. It has become more militaristic and violent—unpredictable, even. Monsters devastate cities and introduce diseases that spawn new races. Magic is in a constant state of flux, generating new powers and altering the functions of old ones.
But none of this mattered to Rex. He wasn’t a Drift Soldier—no matter how much he wished he could be. He didn’t have any powers—even though he longed for them. When he graduated from primary school, he expected to receive his Drift Armament and finally find some stability in his life.
But, as they say, expectations often fall short...
