Masks of the demon (Bearers)

In a world ravaged by powerful demons, humanity stands on the brink of extinction. Their only hope lies in the discovery of Demon Masks—artifacts forged from the essence of slain demons that grant incredible powers to their wearers. However, these masks are dangerous: only those compatible with the demonic energy can survive the bonding process, while the rest meet a grisly death.

Sunny Walker, an orphan who lost his parents to a demon attack, joins the government’s experimental program in hopes of gaining the power to seek revenge. Along with six other volunteers, Sunny is chosen to test the most dangerous masks yet—those created from the essence of a catastrophic-class demon that nearly destroyed humanity. Each mask contains fragments of the demon’s immense power: Gravity Manipulation, Spatial Manipulation, Mind Control, Shadow Manipulation, Lightning Manipulation, and Wind Manipulation.

Sunny is given Mask 7, an unknown and seemingly useless artifact. While the other six quickly harness their powerful abilities, Sunny’s mask remains silent. However, instead of being dismissed, he is trained alongside the others, as all the masks enhance their physical abilities, making them formidable fighters.

As Sunny trains, he soon discovers that his mask holds the most dangerous power of all: Absorption—the ability to absorb and mimic the powers of any demon or Mask Bearer he kills. With each use of this ability, he not only gains strength but also begins to hear the voice of the catastrophic demon whose essence resides within him, urging him to unleash his true potential.

With humanity’s survival on the line, Sunny must navigate a dangerous world where Mask Bearers are both heroes and monsters, all while battling the influence of the demon within. As the demon threat escalates and tensions rise among the Bearers, Sunny faces an impossible choice: embrace his mask’s full power and the voice of the demon or sacrifice himself to stop the resurgence of the very demon that once nearly destroyed the world.
