Hello everyone! Syncogon here, bringing you the prequel translation. Butterfly Blue originally wrote this prequel back around 2015, and this translation has been my pet project for over two years now – I was translating this for a while before I began translating the novel officially. Unlike the main novel translation, which was worked on by a team, the prequel translation is entirely my own individual work, and I take deep pride in it. I am honored to now be able to bring the prequel to you in an official capacity. I have a lot of emotions about the prequel – about the characters, some new and some familiar but in a new context; about the stories that we now get to witness personally, instead of hearing about secondhand; about the additional insight we gain into this world of esports. There is a lot of good content here, and I hope that you enjoy this as much as I have. As of now, there are 21 chapters (that make up 7 “parts”) published on the official Chinese Qidian site. However, there are three more parts (maybe 6-7 more chapters) to the prequel: “Inheritance,” “The Beginning of Legend,” and “Dynasty and Youth,” which will take us up through the end of Season 3. If or when Qidian updates the raws on their site, then we will update the corresponding translation here.  In the meantime, as always: thank you for reading, and may our glory never fade!

Just the first 6 chapters absolutely amazed me you should put some more effort into this book I bet it would get in the rankings really soon.

Still haven’t started—when does he finally get the system? It feels like it’s taking forever to see any progress or development form  the system😆
