Jessica Whitehall and Steven Greece couldn’t be more different. At Fairmont High, a prestigious school in California, Jessica thrives, popular, outgoing, and involved in every activity. Steven, on the other hand, is the quiet, overlooked nerd from a wealthy family, excelling only in computer science while struggling to fit in. Their paths rarely cross, until a school project unexpectedly throws them together.
What begins as an awkward partnership takes an unexpected turn when Steven confesses that he once had a kindergarten crush on Jessica. As they spend more time together, they discover that behind their contrasting personalities lies a friendship worth fighting for. But just as they begin to trust each other, a misunderstanding leads to a devastating accusation. Suspended for a crime they didn’t commit, both miss out on a crucial opportunity that could have shaped their futures. Their frustration boils over into a heated argument, shattering their friendship and sending them on separate paths.
Years pass. Jessica and Steven, now in different universities and cities, reinvent themselves. Jessica, once the vibrant socialite, grows more reserved, focused on building a career. Steven, once timid and invisible, rises to prominence as a tech genius and CEO of his own company. They move forward, unaware that fate isn’t finished with them yet.
When Jessica unknowingly applies for a job at Steven’s company, the past resurfaces in ways neither of them expected. The confident CEO is nothing like the shy boy she once knew, and Steven is caught off guard by the change in the girl he once admired. Old wounds reopen. Buried emotions rise. And as they navigate the professional battlefield, they must decide: Is their story over, or is this their second chance?
Torn between resentment and longing, Jessica and Steven must confront their past, unravel the truth behind their high school betrayal, and determine whether some connections are meant to last beyond just one lifetime.
A story of love, betrayal, and second chances, In Our Next Lives explores the power of time, fate, and the people who leave the deepest marks on our hearts.

Reading this werewolf novel is like being drawn into a moonlit forest, where every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs sends shivers down your spine. The author's vivid descriptions and intense character development will have you howling at the moon and rooting for the MC until the very end.0 0 Reply

Love this book and this author. Allie has created a world and story that draws you in from the beginning. It’s not your typical werewolf story…it’s so much more!0 0 Reply

In a new era where society prioritize the usage of flying mechs(imagine sports cars, but more advanced). A boy with a mysterious origin is raised in a abandoned planet, soon finds a capable friend/machine that will forever help change his life. He is not OP, as of ch.50 there are many things going on in his world, new things keep popping up and you would wonder where this might take him. Gradual improvement after fighting with tough experts and huge amount of training. ;0 Definite Read0 0 Reply

Good read and mc are very merciless. I like how realistic the world-building is, I can imagine the firms monopolising superpowers to profit and possibly take over the world. It adds a sense of relentless hype to the story. good job!0 0 Reply
