The doctors quickly snapped out of their daze and went back to the girl on the bed and began doing all sorts of medical stabilization's to her body, and only stopped 3 hours later when her heartbeat was regular and no danger was there.

Suddenly his sense of urgency returned to him with a renewed vigor. He recalled the face of the man that was trapped inside the monster. 'Some things are worse than death' he thought to himself. Suddenly he had a grim thought. He looked down at his torso and his fears where realized.  There was a small indent in the center of his chest, if there was any doubts about it's origins they where quickly crushed. The mark looked exactly like the side of the gem.

Lucius took the pendant and put it inside a small wooden box, then he headed to bed, tired as a dog. He hoped that he wouldn't sleep through classes again tomorrow and wondered a bit more about that new student.

Did you ever think that the original novels on wn lack something? Something you couldn't describe well but still felt the lack of? This one doesn't lack it at all. It has the epicness of a Chinese novel combined with the fresh ideas of an original.
