“Go down to the Iblaine territory until I call for you again.”
Following his mother’s cold command, Karsion resolved to live as quietly as a dead mouse.
Then someone extended a small hand before him.
“Hello, Karsion. I’m Renéee Iblaine. Would you like some blueberries?”
“I don’t like blueberries.”
The little girl’s large eyes filled with tears at an astonishing speed. Karsion was flustered.
“Well, give me one anyway. It might… not taste bad.”
As he chewed the unpleasant blueberries, Karsion wondered:
‘Why did I give in to her?’

And so began the days of being completely smitten with Renéee Iblaine.
‘When should I confess? What if I confess and we can’t even be friends anymore?’
While continuing these painful yet sweet deliberations, Karsion was certain of one thing: Renéee would be with him until the last day of his life.
Arrogantly believing so, little did he know that just two years later, he would lose her forever.
“Your Highness! Your Highness! A Black Dragon has awakened in the Denivbruk Mountains after a thousand years! I regret to inform you that the Iblaine territory…”
After vanquishing the Black Dragon that had taken Renéee without leaving a trace, Karsion rose to become the empire’s hero.
But what did it matter?
He had foolishly never confessed to the woman he loved.
Having resolved to live alone for the rest of his life, a woman who looked exactly like his first love appeared before him.
“Renéee? Renéee! It’s me, it’s…”
“Um, who are you?”
“…Don’t you recognize me?”
When he asked in a trembling voice, the woman gave an apologetic smile.
“I’m sorry, but I have amnesia.”
