I've become deeply engrossed in the novel due to its compelling nature, leaving me eager for more. The story's distinctiveness keeps me hooked. Here's a brief update on the progression (at Chapter 40): Our female lead (FL) finds herself trapped in a horror game within a hotel, where she suspects the main antagonist, Holloway (who might be the male lead, ML), is disguised as a child. The ML occasionally reveals his adult form, but Evelyn avoids looking at him due to the alleged mind-bending effects of his appearance.
The hotel is home to four or five main demons, each representing emotions like hatred and sorrow. These demons target the FL, given her connection to the ML. Now, let's talk about the FL's system and other characters. The system provides absurd choices in perilous situations, turning even serious moments into comedic gold. While the supporting characters are not always helpful, they add a layer of complexity and occasional assistance, making the FL seem both amusing and resourceful.
In summary, my ratings would be:
- FL: 15/10
- ML: 15/10
- Plot: 10/10
- Overall Characters: 10/10
- Relatability & Comedy: 20/10
Overall, this novel offers a delightful blend of humor, suspense, and engaging characters that make for an enjoyable reading experience. Give it a try – you won't be disappointed!
