From the depths of despair, a single spark of defiance ignites in Alex. Cast aside by fate and haunted by a turbulent past, he embarks on a relentless journey to reclaim his destiny. Like an untamed ember fighting through darkness, Alex endures heartache, pain, and isolation until he rises—a hero forged in the crucible of his own trials. As the line between dreams and reality blurs, his transformation becomes a testament to resilience, hope, and the unyielding power of the human spirit.

good premisse, had potential, it's well written. however, out of nowhere it got confirmed that it is a cultivation novel, people saying "mortals"and don't even get started with the stupid logic of tiered cities, I mean has a lambo and a gigantic villa, but it sucks because it's from a low grade city? so in the big cities are all the houses made of gold? do they fly? what are hey made of? and the hidden cultivation families. .. . meh I thought it was going to be a urban fantasy with mild superpowers like hero academia, just more hidden, but it's not at all.0 0 Reply

People say this is a rehash of the first book but I disagree there are similarities but only down to it being set in the same world with the same mechanics and rules but the similarities end there. My only complaint would be, and I'm unsure if this is just the translation, sometimes very specific metaphors are reused and it's jarring, for example "like a clay ox running against waves" or "shedding his mortal flesh and bones" they're only repeated a couple of times but when you see it the second or third time you notice it, and so it takes you out of the trance like state that reading creates, other than that, this book and the whole series are a worthwhile read!0 0 Reply

Honestly I think it has potential. The negative is the MTL translation. I like the characters so far. He gets OP fast. The he/she's get switched a lot. If you can get past the translation quality it is a nice night read.0 0 Reply
