When her twin brother was ordered to get married, but got kidnapped on the way, Meng Chang’an had to dress up as a man and get married on his behalf, in order to save the lives of the clan.
The moment she stepped into the bridal chamber, the demonic sect’s young master, who had always behaved erratically, gathered all her sharpness and called out obediently to Her Royal Highness the Princess next to the bed, who was wearing a phoenix crown and beautiful robe: “Sister-in-law.”
However, what she received was the meaningful look from the princess by the bed: “Don’t call me sister-in-law, call me wife.”
Young Master Meng, who did not know the meaning of the kiss that landed on the corner of her mouth during the wedding night, finally gradually understood the thoughts of Her Royal Highness in the days that followed.

Li Qiubai slowly raised her hand and gently touched the young master’s chest, with a teasing smile, she asked, “How could these efforts be wasted? Look at you, your heart is beating so fast. Even your legs are getting weak…”
Young Master Meng lost her armor along the way but still wouldn’t give up: “Even if you get my body, you can’t have my heart. It’s impossible for me to be in love with a woman!”
One year later:
Her Royal Highness the Princess: “Sister, why don’t you call me sister-in-law?”
Young Master Meng: “Wife…I know I was wrong…”

¹打脸 (dǎ liǎn) – Literally, it means “to slap one’s face.” Figuratively, means to be proven wrong, to eat one’s words.
²磨鏡 (mó jìng) euphemism referring to having lesbian s*xual relations, where both parties get a certain degree of s*xual satisfaction from rubbing or stroking each other’s bodies. Since both parties have the same body structure, it seems that they are grinding together with a mirror placed in the middle.
