In the past I had rated this novel quite highly, but as of chapter 200 I’m beginning to get fed up with how the book is written.The system quickpy becomes irrelevant and there is no progression on that end nor is it even mentioned hardly at all. His medical skills? Also essentially become obsolete except for every 50 chapters he will maybe do a dissection.The MC has turned into some mystical detective who continuously gets led around by his nose by all these different organizations who make him constantly have illusions.Literally. Half the book from chapters 50-200 is just the guy having illusions and suffering. His abilites help him hardly at all and he remains a weak character all throughout. Even when the MC strengthens himself, its all for naught.The MC is a powerless character who just follows a line others have set out for him and everything he does is all calculated by others.Its the same shitty feeling as 008 in Lord of the Mysteries where everything the MC does is just what the quill writes. I’m not even able to articule in words the feeling other than just how disappointing and unenjoyable it is.
This entire story is amazing. The only issue is that I read so much that I end up with nothing to read. This is one of those books that I could read and then get upset that I read it all.
Translation is very poor. Everyone is having gay thoughts with no reason why. literally all the guys are basically gay or think other people are gay keep. contradicting themselves every chapter. Feel like a rip-off of different novels. So many random info dumps that have no point. Overall it is not good but if you like this stuff please be my guest to reading it. Literally guys are **** fishes,mc is kicking cubs, merchants are thing of how handsome elves are and what he wants to do to them.
Translation Quality: Is okay for the most part, but there are a few lines that do feel out of place. However, with the context of it being a trial read then it’s pretty good. Stability of Updates: I’m sure you guys know the drill by now. Story Development: I’d say don’t judge this story based on the description, because it’s not very accurate. What is true: yes, he was a Godking* and he did die and reincarnate.What’s not true: that he can’t cultivate and chose to nurture disciples instead. As far as his nine disciples are concerned; they seem to have been his disciples while he was a Godking.That said I do find the premise of this story and cultivation system to be plenty interesting. I do like the fact that the sect he reincarnated into isn’t some random weakest sect, in the weakest location, but one he had established thousands of years ago before ascending. As a result sect development is one of core plots of this novel, which is a sub genre I’m personally a big fan off. Of course it’s not devoid of the typical cliches of this genre, but again I’d say the premise of this novel and it’s cultivation system is enough to give a try regardless. Edit:*the term in the actual translation seems to differ; I’m not sure if his actual rank was an Immortal King or not, but I left it as Godking for similicity’s sake.Also I’ve rated it 5 stars because:A. It’s not been westernized.B. To counterbalance reviews made by some very biased people who haven’t even actually read the novel.
Its ok the use better development but other than that I like it a lot I just wish it got more detail on the world and the way they got to the point of life
