The world is currently engulfed in chaos as the military struggles futilely against the atrocities committed by the Gene Hunters. This organization seeks to steal and splice genetic data by any psychotic means—dissection, slow harvesting, or cloning—ethics are not a concern. Hundreds of thousands have been affected, including Blake’s family. Many never return, used as mere resources for genetic harvesting until they are exhausted, never to see their families again. Mysterious changes are occurring on Earth, leading to increasingly bizarre events. Genetic powers are becoming stronger, animals are mutating and evolving faster than normal generational lines. Meanwhile, an unknown force beyond human comprehension lurks just beyond our understanding, waiting for the right moment to feast on all life.
