This manga has completely transformed my life. I was a Christian throughout my life, but truthfully, I didn't have much devotion to Christ or purpose in my own life. When I picked up this manga at the bookstore, I had no idea how profoundly it would impact me. It's genuinely an inspirational piece, highly recommended for both Christians and non-Christians alike! Although I wished the crucifixion scene could have been depicted with more graphic realism, I really can't complain. For me, this is an absolute masterpiece and will always hold a special place in my heart. Because of this manga, I've come to realize that I aspire to create Christian anime and manga. LONG LIVE LORD JESUS! <p>

This manga transformed my life. God guided me to this manga, and God was within the vessel that created it. For thousands of years, humans have tried to create art that stirs others, evoking powerful emotions but ultimately providing readers with entertainment.

The Manga Bible is not entertainment; it is NOURISHMENT for the soul. I am closer to God than ever before, feeling the paper upon which He is inked. The Manga Bible has given me the opportunity to touch the Lord's face. It will forever stand as the pinnacle of human artistry, influencing countless generations to come.

Perhaps it was for the greater good that Adam and Eve ate the apple, for without the first sin, there would not have been the second, the third, or all those that followed, leading to the creation of this life-altering masterpiece.

I encourage those who are not as close to God as they could be to read this series and listen to His word.

    Amen.

The Holy Bible has appeared in numerous formats over time, including Cartoons, Movies, Comics, Audio Tapes, and Music, among others. Now, it has arrived in one of Japan's most beloved formats: Manga. The first two volumes are based on the New Testament (Jesus and Paulus) and predominantly adopt a light-hearted tone, whereas the three subsequent ones draw from the Old Testament, featuring themes such as Rape, Murder, and Torture.

    Story: 7/10
The narrative is undeniably intriguing and demonstrates that the Bible fits well within the manga format. It includes shocking moments, heart-wrenching scenes, and even grotesque occurrences. The manga adaptation of the Bible might be the most captivating way to explore its content. Each book contains several short stories, while the majority of the pages follow a journey undertaken by the character featured on the cover.

    Art: 6/10
The artwork in the first two books appears rather amateurish. The illustrations are basic, with instances where characters' eyes are positioned too far apart or mouths are set too high on their faces. The coloring is poor, looking as though it was done hastily with paint. However, the quality improves in the last three books, adopting a more watercolor-like aesthetic that is easier on the eyes. The art becomes significantly better, with handsome or cute characters actually appearing as such.

    Character: 5/10
Each character exhibits unique behavior patterns, but they all share the common objective of spreading God's messages. Distinguishing between characters proves challenging, as many have nearly identical faces, differentiated only by hair color. Some even share hairstyles, varying only in color. Remembering who’s who is difficult due to the introduction of about 20+ new characters per book, each with names entirely distinct from one another. Without the character list provided at the end of each book, identifying them would be nearly impossible.

    Enjoyment: 6/10
The Bible is vast, making it tough to condense everything into a 5-volume manga series, each approximately 300 pages long. Much of the story is conveyed through text boxes rather than dialogue, likely out of necessity to include all major events. While this may seem like an easy way out, it's probably the only feasible method to narrate every significant occurrence. Consequently, the books are quite text-heavy with limited character interaction. The last three books improve upon this, incorporating more speech bubbles, which enhances the reading experience.

    Overall: 6/10
Manga undoubtedly makes the Bible more engaging to read and could attract a teenage audience as well as manga enthusiasts to Christianity. The third book (Melech) stands out as the most fascinating, showcasing some of the Bible's most shocking events: God's wrath and punishment through death. Despite its merits, the numerous flaws prevent it from being a flawless manga adaptation. It's an enjoyable read, but nothing extraordinary.

Well, this is my first time writing a review. I don't typically write reviews, but since there aren't any here yet, I thought I'd give it a try. ^_^

Just one point: this manga actually tells the story of the birth of Christ, His life, what He went through, and ultimately, the crucifixion.

For Christians and non-Christians alike, I highly recommend this manga. I agree that reading directly from the Bible might not be as engaging for some. Having the manga, with its illustrations, definitely makes the story more enjoyable to read. That said, please don't misunderstand—reading the Bible provides more detailed insights.

Overall, this manga isn't too bad. The artwork is decent as well. There are quite a few characters, which might leave you feeling a bit confused, but at the end of the manga, there's a character introduction that helps clarify everything.

I suppose that's all I have to say here. I hope this review doesn't come across as poorly written—I'm no expert at this kind of thing. This is just my opinion on the manga.

Lastly, to everyone, I encourage you to give this manga a try. I'm sure you'll find it worthwhile. ^_^

There is no question that the light novel stands as the best version of the Bible, yet the manga adaptation remains fairly impressive. The artwork appears as if someone witnessed anime for the first time and then attempted to replicate it. Although it isn't the finest, it does possess a certain charm. The manner in which the stories are depicted could use enhancement, but it's still reasonably good. The character designs range from questionable at their worst to plain at their best; however, given the effort to adapt biblical characters into manga form, this is understandable. The top Bible anime adaptation currently only encompasses the Crucifixion arc, but I hope this manga will motivate anime studios to adapt the remainder of the series.
