[Synopsis]

Noel, a passionate novel reader, finished a book about the war between gods and demons, only to be disappointed by the predictable plot. He criticized the author's lack of originality and retired for the night.


The next morning, when he woke up, he found that he has been transmigrated inside the same novel, but with a twist: the world is not the same. Civilization had advanced, and the gods and demons are now ancient legends.


He discovered that he was in the body of a living son-in-law, sharing the same name. He was about to get a divorce from his wife, Cynthia Charles, although she was still technically his wife.


She had married him because of her family's wishes; they wanted her to marry a man from a wealthy family. However, Cynthia was not interested in family affairs, as she wanted to focus on her research and business.

So, she found Noel, who was an orphan looking for a job. One day, a job broker called him and asked, "Do you know how to act?" Desperate for a job, Noel agreed, and later found out that he had to marry Cynthia Charles and act as her husband in front of others.


Now, three years later, her family discovered that she had lied about the marriage, as they were unhappy knowing their daughter had married a "nobody." They agreed not to force her into another marriage but insisted she divorce Noel. Cynthia agreed to their terms.

Today, Noel found out he was getting a divorce. Over the past three years, Noel had fallen in love with Cynthia, and the thought of divorce saddened him. As he headed to the court, lost in thought, he suddenly felt someone pushed him, and he stumbled into the path of a running truck.


He looked back and saw a woman who had pushed him, but then she vanished into a thin air. As he lost blood, his life fleeting from his eyes, people came and someone called an ambulance.


Just as the ambulance reached the hospital, Noel opened his eyes, but he was no longer the same Noel; he was Noel from Earth.


Noel, now stuck inside the novel, gazes at the blank pages of the same novel he was reading last night with the sole exception of the first page, bearing the ominous message:


"Choose your side: GODS/DEVILS"


Noel pondered, as he thought about the novel he read last night,


The Gods: Representing order, justice, and righteousness. They once wielded immense power, shaping the world.


The Devils: Embodying chaos, freedom, and rebellion. They challenged the Gods, sparking the Great War.
