The Smiling, Proud Wanderer is a Wuxia novel by Jin Yong (Louis Cha). It was first serialized in Hong Kong in the newspaper Ming Pao from 20 April 1967 to 12 October 1969.Alternative Names:• Laughing in the Wind• State of Divinity• The Peerless Gallant Errant• The Proud and Gallant Wanderer• Xiao Ao Jiang Hu• 笑傲江湖Translators:• Lanny Lin (Chapter 1 - 21)• HHaung (Chapter 21)• Pokit (Chapter 21 onwards)• Bliss (Chapter 30 and 31)Editor:• HHaung (Chapter 21 onwards)The reason I'm putting up this novel is so I can read it for personal use. I watched the State of Divinity (1996 TV series) and loved that show. I knew there was a Novel of it but never spent the time to look for it until now. Was reading it online but the chapters very LONG and I keep loosing track of where I left off so I came here. Reading it off Webnovel is so much easier especially since it keeps track of where you left off. Unfortunately Webnovel has a 20k word / 100k character limit for each chapter so I had no choice but to chop up the chapters into parts. For those who also want to read this feel free. I am not taking someone else's work and passing them off as my own, full credit is given to the original writer, translators and editor as listed in the descriptions, plus the content of this novel is free online in multiple sources for everyone to read. So putting this up on Webnovel is just for my own convenience sake and anyone else who wishes to read this.0 0 Reply

I am the Fated Villain- Truly a masterpiece! Classic Gu Changge will always remain within our hearts. The world building is boundless and is layered quite well so the readers wont find themselves off track of what's happening in the story. The mysteriousness of the MC's origin in itself is worth the read. Thank you for uploading this MTL version here. 😈0 0 Reply

I'll have to read further in order to give a more fair review. But as per the condition we agreed to on WebNovel forums, I'll list my thoughts so far.The grammar is quite polished. I can tell that the author has been at it for a decent amount of time. And usually I wouldn't recommend the usage of a first person POV in a fantasy novel, but in this story, it's well done. As a reader, I could feel the emotions of the protagonist as she struggled to recall how she ended up in that void.Another intriguing aspect of the story was the number of relevant characters introduced from the get go. The author doesn't name them, but instead gives them titles that are easy to follow during an action-packed scene. I assume that they'll be given names later. It'll be a neat tie-in to see.0 0 Reply

overall decent but needs patience as it is a bit of a slow burner. nice work author, i can tell you put a lot of effort into it. the pacing is a bit slow to my liking, a lot of dialogue and internal confusion going on, but the writing is good and up to chapter three i was entertained. would recommend!0 0 Reply
