The novel is exceptionally well-crafted. Typically, when the main character (MC) or the male lead (ML) initiates a relationship, I find it slightly off-putting due to the condescending tone. However, this book stands out! The MC's free-spirited nature, outgoing personality, and carefree attitude are captivating. He's like a constant wind, yet he stops for ML - their love is profound and genuine, evoking strong emotions within me. Even when the MC sacrifices for ML's happiness, it tugs at my heartstrings.

What truly impresses me is the MC's independence; I genuinely admire his character. The friendship between him and Yu Nian is adorable and heartwarming. As for the ML, initially, I expected a stern demeanor, but he turns out to be gentle, like a leaf carried by the wind, mirroring the MC. Despite his past heartbreak, his love for the MC feels organic and seamless. Watching his character development is a delight, as he grows throughout the story.

The main couple is simply perfect - their flaws complement each other, creating an intriguing dynamic. Together, they seem to complete one another, like a broken vase that becomes even more beautiful when pieced together. I can't express enough how much I adore their relationship.

I derive immense pleasure from the roller-coaster journey of this couple's development. Initially, their relationship was casual, but it evolved into a profound and emotionally mature bond. What captivates me is the angst they exhibit, despite their deep understanding and love for each other. Their decision to part amicably, albeit difficult, serves as a crucial turning point for both to acknowledge their unbreakable connection.

One of the novel's remarkable aspects lies in how the characters confront and overcome their painful pasts, fears, and insecurities. When they come together, they bring out the best in themselves, showcasing growth and resilience. This transformative journey is a true testament to the power of love and self-discovery.

I really enjoyed the writing and the narrative; it's rather straightforward, yet it managed to evoke emotions, including a tear-jerking moment for me. Initially, I couldn't help disliking LC's actions, but then the plot took an unexpected turn. Both LC and LT agreed to a friends-with-benefits arrangement with exclusivity, which is where things got complicated. As clichéd as it may sound, LC almost broke their promise while out at a club, and LT rightfully called him on it.

It's true that they aren't in a committed relationship, but when you make such an agreement, it's crucial to stick to it. Despite this issue, I appreciate the storytelling, particularly how LC expressed his feelings without dragging it on. His decision-making throughout the story was strong, leading to their eventual conclusion.

What surprised me was discovering that the same author wrote "Easy to Deceive," featuring familiar names. I almost double-checked if there were any recurring characters, it was such a pleasant surprise!

One aspect of this novel that captivated me entirely was the profound love and obsession between the main characters. They didn't truly comprehend themselves until they crossed paths. Initially, it began as a one-night encounter, then evolved into a casual relationship, and ultimately blossomed into deep affection. The male lead (ML) had prior unrequited feelings or a first love, but his heart had been shattered, making him question his ability to love again. On the other hand, the male protagonist (MC), who had no prior experience with love, discovered his vulnerability towards it after meeting the ML. Although there wasn't excessive angst in the story, certain chapters tugged at the heartstrings, particularly when the MC communicated the end of their relationship to the ML. It portrayed a delicate balance between guarding hearts and overcoming fear of love. I assure you, this engaging novel won't disappoint, filled with intrigue and emotion. If you haven't read it yet, consider checking out the related series, "Easy to Deceive," which is also worth a read.

It's actually quite good, quite the opposite. The characters are well-developed, the plot engaging without being repetitive or overly brief. I particularly enjoyed Lin Chi's character; he had a distinctiveness that stood out. However, there's one aspect that I found problematic - the overused "running away" trope. Seriously, can't they fight for their love and work through challenges together? An ultimatum at the airport, especially to a reserved character, followed by waiting for the other person to chase after them just to ensure perfection – it comes across as unrealistic. Love isn't a guarantee of perfection; constant care and communication matter more. I admit, my perspective might be influenced by burnout from similar Western romance narratives. And the part where the grown-up grandson gets physically abused doesn't sit well with me either.

I initially hesitated to read this book due to a spoiler mentioned in another review, but I'm glad I decided to give it a try. The chemistry between the characters felt genuine and organic – their love developed naturally as they spent more time together. What stood out to me was the authenticity of the main character's expectations; he sought a perfect love, which is a valid aspiration.

While I understand bellus11's point about the "runaway" trope, I don't think it quite fits in this case because the trip abroad was prearranged. It would have been better if the breakup happened in person, but I agree that it served a purpose in the plot. The male lead was uncertain of his feelings during the confession, and the MC giving him space to sort things out seemed fair, considering the complexity of the situation.

What I appreciated was the resolution, particularly how both characters openly admitted their intense feelings for each other without any shame. Overall, the story had a satisfying ending, and I enjoyed the mutual obsession between them.

Oh my goodness, this was absolutely fantastic! The storyline and characters were beautifully crafted, particularly the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML). The depiction of their emotions was so genuine that it deeply resonated with me, especially during the heart-wrenching goodbye scene where I couldn't help but shed tears. The ML's unwavering pursuit of love had me swooning! The side stories were adorable, showcasing a softer and more determined side of the ML, one who conquers love without complications and follows his instincts, even revealing a darker aspect of himself. However, I'm curious if they tied the knot in those extra scenes, and if they ever came clean to Grandpa Li – that's what left me wanting more. Overall, it was an incredible read!

PS: I would love to read a story about Xi Zhiwei and what transpired between him and his ex. (:(

The core narrative was fantastic! I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars. The characters, plot, and pacing were well done. I couldn't help but devour it in one day; it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. However, there was a downside. The additional content, specifically "The If Line: Personal Nurturing," didn't resonate with my preferences, and it somewhat tainted my perception of the main love story (ML). It's a bit amusing how the dynamics changed when Lin Chi suddenly matured, with Li Tingyan's possessiveness and obsession turning heads. The overall premise, with the ML raising the MC, felt a bit unconventional.
