If you like "I'm Really a Superstar" (IRAS), then read this novel. Similar to IRAS, the MC in "A Valiant Life" has a system that allows him to gain new skills, and he relies on these skills to engage in frequent face-smacking. However, compared to IRAS, MC here does not have a strong motivation to be a celebrity- he simply wants to live a better life. In this sense, I sometimes prefer it to IRAS because there is less plagiarizing of well-known poems, stories and shows (or rather, the focus is not on plagiarizing). "A Valiant Life" is suitable for light reading at the end of the day when you want to relax and unwind, and don't want to care about dense texts, cliffhangers, cultivation or revenge-based plots.
Bland. Bland as heck. The dialogue is just weird and the sentences seemed forced. Info dumps don't help and the MC is basically a robot. It was a chore to read this.

This novel had a very good start, an eagle clone as a separate body is a very interesting concept. This part is surprisingly well done for such a mediocre novel.But let's start from the beginning.The world is a standard Cultivation world, with a death zone full of treasure only the MCs clone can access. Not much detail about either the world or the Cultivation system. MC is your standard OP genius who was held back by fate, or in this case his soul was to talented for his body. His childhood friend, a beautiful genius, helps him survive until he gains strength.The whole thing has been done before, but there are enough twists to make it interesting.But here the trouble starts, standard enemies popping up everywhere because he is seen as trash and everyone else is so bored they can only pick on him every time he meets someone new. Classic repeat, MC either kills them or shuts them up with his strength. Classic village noop destroying the strong forces backed seniors. Every character is either a villain, a week damsel to be safed, a pin-up senior, a pin-up teacher, a pin-up childhood friend or something else for the MC to ****, kill or turn into a servant. No character besides the MC has a worthwhile backstory, consistent motivation or anything unique.MC has powerful friends(even in higher positions in other sects) , a pretty talented childhood friend, nearly unlimited wealth and every opportunity he needs, but he still goes the standard scumbag rout of trying to get every girl he comes across.In one moment he is a wise, experienced man who can endure hardship, in the next he randomly kills a minor annoyance and in the next he riskes his life to either gain a girl's attention or to gain prestige. He literally risks his life to kill a snake stuck in a mountain to impress a girl he has seen twice. He could have run in the beginning, after saving her or anywhere in between, but no, he has to show that he is dangerous so that anyone in the world can get a shot at him.In between, the auther even forgot that the MC had a clone for like 20 or so days.Beware, starving of small animals.The Harem route and the typical stupid villains destroy this novel.

I have only read 130 chapters and here is my review. Definitely some of the most dark and tragic shit on this site and I'm actually loving it so far. If you like dark apocalypse theme novels this is for you. Also don't expect a happy ending ever if you are reading this. The only problem I have is after reading a bunch of reviews, I realized that he is still stuck on the third realm even after 800 chaps. I don't know if i can take the same kind of revenge repeat content without any power ups for another 600 chaps. Overall the content upto 130 chaps is definitely very good and the cruelty and dark stuff is just too good. If you like such content don't miss it. MC is OP compared to other humans and he really suffers a lot. I highly recommend at least upto 130 chaps
